I really love the jingle jangle Rickenbacker tone (The Byrds, early R.E.M, The Smiths and many others) but I still struggle with finding a suitable amp /setting that may work fine.
Did somebody find a decent setting to recreate those fantastic jangle tones?
Which amp/ rig setting is suitable "that" jingle jangle tone out of a Rickenbacker guitar?

Short version:
Amps: Roland JC120, Vox AC30 and direct to the console.
Lots of compression (comps in series)
Treble boost -
I'd say : vox AC30 , the one from Pete's profiles .Another option would be trying your way out of the vintage amp project : lots of jangle in these old amps

Yes, I love that sound myself. It tickles my ears in a good way. I used to own a Janglebox which is a McGuinn fave.

Try the Morgan AC20 profile.
This gives you premium AC30 tones and will suite you well with a Ricky 12.
Don't forget to turn up the amp compression plus a second compressor if need be. -
Related to this discussion: If anyone is looking for a GREAT deal on an electric 12-string guitar, track down a Daisy Rock (yes, I said Daisy Rock!) Stardust Retro-H 12-string.
They are worth MAYBE $200 (probably less) in the US, but they can be set up to play really well, and sound great. I've used mine for recording electric 12-string parts for years.

Ok, then here's another recommendation for a Ricky 'fake':
This one is a great Korean made copy of a Rickenbacker 330-12 obviously.

I got one of these a few years and all my Rickenbacker G.A.S. has vanished completely since then.
