a nice pair of active studio monitors worth €400?

    Hello everyone.

    I went through the serach engine and apparently noone has created a similar thread yet, which I find quite surprising.


    I'm thinking of buying a pair of studio active monitors. What models would you recommend in this price range? I might go for Yamaha HS7, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

    HS7, I have a pair and felt in love with them, amazing mids and trebles. I use them with great success for playing, recording, mixing & profiling.


    they are also very good for listening to quality music.


    You should search a bit more they are tons of threads about small monitors.

    I bought the HS5 a few months ago and couldn't be happier.
    Not only for the Kemper but for listning to music. You suddenly hear stuff in you're favorite tracks that you didn't know was there. An extra guitar part or some backgroundvocals that usally get burried in the mix. And the stereo image is so much better than anything I've owned before.
    It beats my AKG 271MKII headphones by a long shot. But now my room-mates hate me even more
    The HS7 would have been too much for my tiny room... maybe also too much for my bank account.
