Delay Settings

    Anyone have any recommended settings for achieving the following delay settings on the Kemper?

    • Bucket Brigade - EHX Memory Man or Diamond Memory Lane
    • Tape delay - Echoplex, El Capistan

    El Capistan has several settings (single, multi band, etc...). You can get so many sounds with the pedal, it's hard to give you an exact recommended setting.
    I did a quick comparison a while back between El Capistan and Kemper Delay. Just tried to match one particular setting from the Strymon pedal.

    If that helps, I can try and look for the kemper values if I still have the preset.

    It's very easy with the fw 5.x delays to nail a tape delay sound, just play with the hi and low filters and select Cut More (the hi filter I usually have set anywhere from 1500-4000 Hz, the low around 70-ish). Kemper's own presets are the best place to start. There's a good bucket brigade type delay among them, too.
