Having some issues with 5.1.1 so i inserted a USB stick with the earlier 5.0.3 FW on it and the screen offered "do you want to upgrade to the latest 5.0.3 firmware available"
Surely this should recognise that this is an older version?
Or have i misunderstood and inserting any firmware other than what is currently installed gives an option to "cross-grade" (assuming there is no "would you like to downgrade" text presentation)
Inserting USB with older FW presents 'upgrade' option

The KPA will offer to install the software version that is on the USB drive.

I understood that to install an older FW you had to hold down page up+down upon powering on. My mistake, having never had to do this before.
Should i be concerned or take action that my older/saved internal-settings/rigs/etc (that were updated as part of the installation of 5.1.1) be backward compatible as i'm now running an older firmware?

The Profiler doesn't mention "Upgrade", but "Update". You also see the revision # currently installed plus the revision # on the USB stick to be updated to, before you either confirm or withdraw the update. So all the information is there enabling a conscious decision..
Items stored before 5.1.1 will appear unchanged in 5.0.3 and 5.1.1.
Items stored in 5.1.1 including new features like Pitch Shifter Delays, might change their appearance in 5.0.3. Especially the Pitch Shifter Delays might appear as something else e. g. a Loop, because 5.0.3 doesn't fully support those effects.
As soon as you upgrade to 5.1.1 again everything will appear exactly as stored.
