At Bax Shop the DXR10 is still available (9 in stock as I post this) but the price has gone up too, like in Sweden.
They sell it at € 664,-!!!!

They sell it at € 664,-!!!!I guess they all aligned their price on Thomann, but now that T is out of the game they come back to usual price.

The Japanese Yamaha site mentioned, that deliveries after June 1st will have a lower price. Maybe Thomann is waiting for a new batch with lower prices (around 420 Euro).

I suspect the issue is margin and they've chosen one that suits them better. It's just business.
It's also in their interest to subtly make it seem like they're dropping them for product quality reasons since they'll now be competing.

We'll likely never know what the actual reasons are but it's not a long stretch to suspect "business issues". Sometimes these issues might just be related to margins for the retailer, sometimes they might be even related to unacceptable clauses in the contracts that might affect other brands in the retailer's catalog.
As I mentioned in my earlier post, there was a Gibson issue a while back. Allegedly Gibson had tried to force Thomann (and other retailers) to remove competitors with guitars similar to the Gibson designs (e.g,. Les Paul style single cut guitars) from their catalog via a new retailer contract. In this particular case (if these reasons are correct) it was in the best interest of us clients that Thomann didn't accept that and fought it out. Big brands have a tendency to think they can dictate the rules and it's good to see at least some retailers standing strong. But that's just my 2 cents and I can't tell what the current issue with Yamaha actually is. Yes, of course it's business stuff and yes, of course Thomann cares about their own business first. But in the end I think it will be in our best interest as well.
Over the many many years of doing business with Thomann (as a client) I have learned that they never tried to handle something in a way that harms their clients. I even think it's safe to say that it's part of their business philosophy that "what serves the client directly serves their business".Cheers

Seems like problem has been solved (much quicker than I thought).
Prices are back to normal for the DXR series speakers. -

Let's see if ithe Revstars come back later. Perhaps they're not successful enough though and Thomann refuse to stock them because they dont't sell? I'm just speculating here though.

Maybe Yamaha changed their whole distribution system.
I live in NZ and I can't order the DXR10 from Thomann. They say they can't ship it to New Zealand ("Please select another country").
I can buy it in NZ with the official distributor (MusicWorks) for NZ $500 extra compared to European pricing.
