Hey, guys. Haven't had my Kemper long, but I absolutely love it. Can anybody tell me if there's a quick reference guide somewhere to find out what gear certain bands/musicians use? I've found a few rigs already from other users that are mirrors of a couple different bands I love, but haven't really found any others.

Remember that a lot of the time though people “lie” to protect their endorsements.
Especially for in studio use.
Don’t believe anything you read. -

Don’t believe anything you read.Isn't that the point though, I mean if you're endorsed then why wouldn't you say what you're using so that sales are increased. I think back in the day player sounds were more protected before the internet and all the gear option available but nowadays not so much.
Your right about studio secrets, but the rigrundowns are pretty good, considering all their gear is laid out for you right there.

Thanks, guys. I'll be checking both of those out.

It's a good start man!

What I mean is that a lot of times you’re agreed to use, and show, let’s say Marshall, but in the studio, or hidden behind the curtain live, you’re using a Hiwatt. But you can’t SAY that in interviews without jeopardizing your endorsement deal.
I’ve been involved in far too many records where I’ve read the articles later that had every single detail completely made up.
All of my endorsements are non exclusive. And I really use the brands I endorse.
But that doesn’t mean that they don’t want to be sure I mention them in every piece. -
Yeah, ok, that makes sense. I've had this happen where a reporter/interviewer completely exaggerates the story for it to be more appealing. Gotta read between the lines, indeed.

I'm far too awesome to rely upon endorsements, I endorse worthy companies secretly by buying stuff with my own money - I don't even tell my Wife!

LOL, I show my wife how to use all my gear. She's awesome, very helpful if and when I hit a rut or need inspiration. Plus she can help setup and breakdown haha...works for me!

That’s great.
Make sure you explain that in all of your interviews. -

Just out of interest... When you order a coffee in Starbucks and they ask your name to write on the cup, do you say "It is I!!!! William... The Grammy Award Winning Bass Player for Cindi Lauper"?
-
No.
I say "William, and thanks".
What do you say?
'I know all about coffee, I read it on the internets...'? -
-
If you’re into coffee, you don’t shop at Starbucks...
-
you do SOME places.
in a lot of small cities, finding Starbucks is like finding an oasis.
-
An honorable mention to Caribou Coffee, if you are playing in the Midwest USA:)
