Losing midi presets

  • This was really pissing me off at the gig last night... I set up four presets to be footswitchable with a ground control pro. Tweaked one. Saved it. checked and the location/footswitch it was saved to changed - when I clicked on that footswitch, it was one of the stock kemper rigs and NOT the one I originally saved it to.

This totally screws stuff up live - I can't tweak a setting and save it, because it will screw up my pedalboard presets. If you guys could fix this it would be a good thing.

    Pete

  • Dear Pete,

you should definitely report it as a bug.
In the Kemper there is a file called "MIDIAssignments.xml". In that file there are lines like
    <slot num="4">{DOCUMENTS}/KemperAmp/Rigs/2011-10-07 16-19-12 - Fischers Jazz Fux OD1.kipr</slot>
referring to a rig file name containing a date. When you edit and replace (!) a rig, I assume that the file name gets updated with the modification date. So the reference in the MIDI assignments file suddenly points to nowhere.
Just my interpretation, but this explains the behaviour.
