Every night i make a nightmare. I dream about the KPA having a so small DSP that it has reach now all his capacity.
By hoping i'm wrong, i wonder what kind of room is there in the box actually?
I know it's a bad question.
What is the power of the KPA's DSP?

I know it's a bad question.quote:
"The main DSP is a Freescale DSP (formerly Motorola) running at an
equivalent of 400 MHz speed. The code consists of tens of thousands of
lines of pure assembler code. The global sampling rate is 44.1 kHz,
while the internal sampling rate is partially much higher. The algorithm
for the tube simulation runs on more than 700 kHz sampling rate (!)."Some Kemper specs can be found in this thread on TGP:

There is much room left!

Hey MBA, what would you use the supplementary power for? Are you thinking of more complex FX, or are you afraid that Kemper might one day want to completely change their algorithms?

Is there enough room left to run a second amp simulation in parallel, Chris? I think that's the only thing I might care about aside from brute force convolution (handy for 3rd party impulses & reverbs)

All i wanted to hear.
Thanks. -

I'm thinking about many things and actually about the tone matching process.
It's basically just an IR player so having it could be useful for tone match playing and for IR imports if you wanted too.
By the way i'm not sure that IRs import would work better than the ones captured by the KPA.
The process of tone match works very nice with the Axe-Fx, i can't imagine how good it would be with the KPA.
The process build the IR apart from the normal use of the machine, when you play it's just an IR's player and i wonder what will be the latency of the KPA.
We could have :
_ rigs
_ cabs
_ profiles
_ tones (IRs build with tone match)
_ IRs (import) -
