Stereo Effekt loop: no effekt in stereo.

    Hi.

    I´m trying to use af stereopedal with my kemper toaster.

    I have a stereo efx loop setup in the effect section, and connected the pedal via the send and return and alternative input.

    Now to the problem: When i connect both returns to my pedals outputs the effekt disappears and only the guitar signal remains.

    If i pull one of the jacks from the pedal ( it dosn´t matter which on) the effect becomes audible.

    First make sure, that you are using the ALTERNATIVE IN and the RETURN really in their capacity as effect loop returns. Make sure, the Input Source is set to Front INPUT and the three Aux In Mix controls are set to "Off".


    Depending on which module of the Effects Section you are using, switch off the following effect modules. If this solves the issue check DLY&REV Routing in Rig Settings.


    Then plug your guitar cable first into the ALTERNATIVE IN followed by the RETURN. Each time you should hear the guitar signal on one side of the stereo spectrum. One time on the left the other time on the right side.


    One more idea: Check your cables. Are these unbalanced or balanced? Perhaps this is a phase issue, because one balanced cable has the hot wires twisted. And if their signals get mixed, you experience cancellations.


    This should help to narrow in.

    OK, I think I know what the problems is now, but it's still there :)


    I tried to plug af guitar into the return inputs. There is no left/right seperation between the return inputs.

    The return signal goes to both left and right in both the Alternative input and the Return input.

    With an effect in the stereo loop, there is only a very week effect signal. I quess becuase of phase cancellation.

    That is with all other effects in the section off.

    I'm only using unbalanced cables.

    All AUX are off.

    I have tried going true the output/ input menu and tried diferent options, but no luck so fare.

    Which module are you using? X, MOD, DLY or REV?

    You didn't mention how DLY+REV Routing is set in the Rig currently loaded.

    Did you try the effect loop alone without any other effects following?


    What if you deactivate the effect loop and use the ALTERNATIVE IN and RETURN in their capacity as Aux In?

    Plug your guitar cable into one of those at a time. Do you now receive left and right signals seperately?

    Make sure Aux In Mono is not selected.

    Which output are you using and which Output Source is selected for this output?
