Has anybody done this? I do a lot of gigs where on stage amps are supplied and they are usually Fender Deluxes or HR Devilles.
These amps do have a power amp input but no level control. So when plugging in the volume is flat out.
Now I can control the monitor outs from the Stage but I've found that the amount of control is too coarse. Not enough smooth range.
My solution is to fit a potentiometer on the monitor outputs instead.
Has anyone here done this and if so what value pot did you use?

I think you can also place a volume pedal in the amp's loop. A graphic EQ with input and output gain control can work too.
