Is it possible to achieve a subtle, slighty range of wah for a solo. I've tried several of them and I have experimented with the range but I can't get close to what I'm hearing in this audio clip.

Wonderful sound. Maybe just try with small movements on the Crybaby settings.

there is a good wah preset in the wah folder, 'subtle wah' it's a great one , adjust the range parameters to your taste but it's not that subtle on your clip

Hi Musicmad (striking nickname!) Excellent hint. Thank you! With a bit of tweaking this one sounds much better.

Thank you for this great tip. But where is that wah folder to be found?

rig manager, open a wah slot in FX , choose preset in the list?
other wah presets can be found in the bottom FX presets also

I guess you mean all the wah's in category - types and presets... my wah example is not to be found there, not even the subtle wah preset

A Wah is generically a High Q filter that you move the center frequency of with a pedal.
So something like the Studio EQ can give a slight Wah sound. Then you could MORPH the frequency with a pedal if needed. Think, We will Rock you solo.
Example:
- Set a filter to around 700 Hz. If desired, morph this parameter.
- Crank the gain so it dominates the tone of the filter.
- Increase the Q for more Wah. You could morph this as well. Like Lower Q for low freq and higher Q for high freq.
- You may use the LOW CUT and HI CUT, if necessary, to exaggerate the Wah even more. Maybe something like 200 and 3000 Hz.
GRAPHIC EQ:
- Make an inverted V pattern with the peak at around 600 - 1200 Hz.
- You will probably not be able to morph this setup.

I'll give it a try! Thanks Rosbone Mako
