Brad Paisley sound

    ☑️ Profiler Head/Rack

Can someone describe, in detail, how I tune my Kemper to get the same soundstage as Brad Paisley when he plays "My Next Broken Heart"

I'm not particularly good at setting sounds, so I need some help. Have a Fender Tele.

  • Don't know the song, but pretty much all chicken' picken' sounds require compressor, delay (slap back) drive as in TS or similar. Think he uses Dr Z amps but AC30 type will likely get you there.

Albert Lee does a great tutorial on YT on how he uses his delays, would imagine Brad's isn't too different

Thank you Paddyc! Will try it! :)

  • And, just as FYI, guitarist Jim Lill has a Kemper pack of Brad tones for various songs using Dr Z Z Wreck and a Carr Slant 6 if I remember correctly. Lill Kemper

I got this pack and some other Z packs because I’ve got 3 Dr Z amps and love them, but haven’t yet profiled them.

Jim Lill also has a video where he breaks down Brad’s gear on many albums to help identify what makes the “Brad Paisley Sound.” Jim’s videos are outstanding on many subjects.
