TheAmpFactory PACK3!

  • Thanks Will for making me spend money :)

I told myself I wouldn't buy any profiles but, I'm not real happy with the ones I have. I may buy the JMP and SLO.

What guitar did you use with the JMP MKII? I manly use a Les Paul with Burstbucker Pros. (or is it BB 2's)

The clean part is the PRS SE bridge (I think), dirty the ES-339 bridge (certain).

  • Thanks for the Clips.....I will be buying the Hotcat and SLO later on.

What guitar on Hotcat dirtiest part (at the end)?????????????

339 bridge, but don't get caught up in the guitar used. I tweaked each profile in order to get the best sound with the axe I used to track and you'll likely need to do the same.

I agree....just wanted to know SC or HB.......there is a little something non HB sounding there for some reason. Sounds great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just bought the Marshall JMP MKII Mod. It's not sounding like Will. I think it will be useable. Any tips from anyone that has it will be greatly appreciated.

Why is there a gate in slot 1?

Why is there a gate in slot 1?

You can buy the profile, but its still your axe and your fingers! The gate is an alternate noise gate, disable if you don't want it. I don't recall exactly how I dialed it in, but I can guarantee I twisted the cabinet character up quite a bit and the presence down. I also tend to dial in reverb and delay much differently than the profile defaults. I'll see if I stored a snapshot tonight, but I don't think I did for that one.

  • Axe and fingers huh? Well ok. Anyway what I'm finding is the profiles are enhanced by boosts and eq and you say the cab parameters also!

I was hoping for a good profile right out of the box so to speak. Thanks for your help Will.

Sorry but, "in general ", you're wrong, most profiles are NOT enhanced by those features.... I for one have never touched the cab parameters, just not needed, and I guarente most feel the same. Some of the best profiles available do not have extensive post EQing whatsoever, much less cabinet parameter tweaking.

Don't want to fight with ya bud. But you're wrong. I did not say "most profiles" and I did not say "in general". I only have the one batch and they are enhanced with boosts and eqs. Big deal I also didn't say it was bad either.

  • I explained this somewhere else but will add it here..
The point of the pre eq is to define the guitar used. I.e if uses tele or strat enable it and it adds the low end back. Disable if using humbuckers, disable the post eq if using active pickups. Most eq,s are basic anyway. And the post eq is nothing but a volume. Ive never needed to mess withe cab settings bute not saying thats wrong either, the end of the day you gotta dial it in to suit the guitar and speaker sytem your using. Then dial in your fav verb and delay setting and off you go.

I desgined the profiles this way so you can use it with a variety of guitars easier. Guess i,ll need to re think my action then if im wrong here. That i apologise for of course.

  • I bought a couple of your amazing profiles and now I think I'm gonna drop all of the money I had saved for porn.

My clip (the dirty part) is the AF3-JMP-Mk2 Full profile with the only change being to the Cabinet Character knob turned up to 3.5 (the gate and post EQ bypassed though those things won't change the tone). Guitar used was my Epi 339 w/Gibson Bustbucker Pros. Just loaded up the profile plugged in and it sounds exactly the same. I think many of Andy's profiles are indeed playable right out of the box (about half the clips so far ave been without any modifications at all), but certainly minor adjustments need to be made for the guitar being used.

  • and44 -- dude - I hate you!
