Really confused here. They say its a "solution to playing through a actual guitar cabinet with tube power amp". Well, i do this now, and it sounds great as is with a real guitar cabinet and tube power amp, so I'm alittle lost???
Soooo, what does the cabdriver do???

The cab driver takes you to whatever address you provide, silly

My understanding is that it kicks in when you run in "Cab Off" mode. Cab Off is used when running "Monitor Out" to a power amp/cab, powered monitors or a similar set up where the "Main Outs" are used to go to front of house or not used at all. I run Monitor Out/Cab Off as my primary rig. I have not noticed the affect of the cab driver mode as of yet but I will need to crank up a bit and experiment with cab-on and cab-off to hear the difference. Sorry for my previous post, I couldn't resist!

If I understand correctly cabdriver subtracts some of the impact the cab has on the profile out of the profile (if that makes any sense) LOL.
This new improved Monitor Output behaviour was introduced some firmware incarnations ago IIRC and I realized the added mojo on the Mon. Out immediately. And it is too good to not feature it more in the descriptions of the KPA's capability.
So now the child has a name: cabdriver.

i thought the cab driver knew how to get to carnegie hall...

It takes you home if your "designated driver" is too drunk to drive.
