Its a no brainer -
Oh and I would definitely put out some cash for this one. I am sure many would want this for free but to create a nice interface for all of the Kempers controls/ adjustments would be killer and worth it.
Especially if you could have all of the knobs/ sliders/ buttons/ drop downs open for all effects at once. Like a nice big board. Open the sections we want and hide ones we dont want depending on how much real estate our monitor/ screen has.
We could adjust everything in real time. I would pay well for this one. -
I completely agree on an editor. I had to send my Kemper back a while ago because a knob was faulty. I would like to be able to control everything from my PC. It would be so much easier to edit profiles and A-B them, name them etc... And for I think the vast majority of us especially in the studio an editor is really a must have to profile, edit, name much more efficiently.
Please Mr. Kemper -
Good point there. It would reduce the wear and tear on the mechanical parts on the Kemper as well.
It would ramp up the longevity even more. I would rather buy a new mouse rather than a new KPA. -
I believe an editor will come, when things settle down a bit for Kemper. But it will be sadly free of charge

Let us hope this is so

I hope that editor will expand some options like internal routing the fx slots to the main output or to any stage in parallel path, because serial fx have some limitation in creation of ambient fx'ses.

Oh, jokes apart I'm pretty sure Kemper won't charge anything developed in software for the Profiler! This is the direction they have shown us since day one.

Interesting... is this doable? Where would the Profiler store the information when it's not connected? Wouldn't this require a purposely designed specific memory area?

Apart from your idea that I see some usefulness in I hope that an editor NEVER brings features that aren't as well controllable from the hardware unit itself. I find this always a bad move. -
Yep, my concern as well.

doable - yes:) If you consider that each fx slot has own input and output register - you can take actual audio sample from that register. It's no matter wich X fx slots will take the output sample from Y fx slot.
It is small amount of information to be stored within a rig.How this can be controllable with the hardware?
Maybe you can push X fx slot button and in the same time push Y fx slot button(or output button of stack button) to connect output and input of these slots. Of course this is only example. -
Ah OK; you'd need a FW review anyway... makes sense now, thanks

I think its very naive for such a MAGNIFICENT product not to have a decent software !
