Viabcroce,

Hmm... No technical specifications given...
The look of the thing is cute but also conservative.
More Information, please! -

It might be nice (logistically speaking) for both the toaster and the rack lwners
PS: I guess only registered members can open the thumbnails...

Interesting concept, if the weight wasn't too much it could be a great "all in one" solution.

Thanks Davide for the dirty job

No prob

Just had a PM exchange with Zack. He wrote some interesting things that I will post here if he allows me to. Manwhile, go on follow the thread over there, some interesting things are emerging
-
This is what Zack PMed me:
"Hi Gianfranco, thank you very much for your message - to tell you the truth, the reason I built the prototype Rakk StaKK with a 3U rack space at the front was with a view to looking at the Kemper rack - especially the powered version.
I am not a member of the Kemper forum yet but I will join asap!!
Thanks again, Zack."Sounds interesting to me
-
For rack users they'll need at least 6 units space: Kemper, wireless, poweramp, power conditioner. Though from the pictures it looks like you can remove the logo panel and use that space.
-
Yah, it's still a prototype (so open to new solutions) but it seems there are two different sections for rack units, one with access from front and one from the back.
-
Hi, yes Gianfranco is correct - 3U of rackspace at the front and 3U at the back ( behind the faceplate) - the idea being that power conditioner / wireless /similar set-and-forget devices can go at the back as they tend not to need any tweaking .
But it's true this is very much a prototype and it has to be said the majority of opinions on the Fractal forum favour having a smaller faceplate.
Anyway, please let me know what you think - I'd appreciate any input.
( hope I'm not in violation of the forum rules here with this regarding commercial products - although that is the ultimate aim we are a long way from this being a commercial product at this stage...)
Cheers
Zack

Hi Zack and welcome here. thanks for taking the time to show up here. Coul you tell us something more about the specs of your system?
Thanks in advance
Davide -
Hi Davide, thanks for your question though at this stage I am unable to answer as the final specs have not been determined!
The prototype was built to assess the viability / practicality of such a product and to garner feedback from the community.
The next stage is to prototype the Rakk Stakk Pro - should be ready in about 4 - 6 weeks - to firm up the specs of both products and work on the logistics of production.
There's a long road ahead but I'll keep you posted.
Cheers
Zack

Interesting, Zakk. I'm looking forward to hearing more...
