Hi
Anyone care how to explain how the key and steps work together?
The key works by selecting what harmony note fits correctly with the played note. Eg if your song is in the key of Em and you solo in Em or relative major which is G then if you pick thirds as your interval it will play the correct one that fits with the song Key. Hope that makes sense
Okay, thanks!
But what about the 12 manual steps, how does this work?
I'm trying to nail the Dream Theater - the count of tuscany intro

This would be for programming specific scales like harmonic minor scale, blues scale etc

Yeah, I understand that
But do you have a example?
Yeah, I understand that
But do you have a example?
Example?????? I'm not sure what you mean by this
But if you mean this the harmonic minor scale would be
I, II, bIII, IV, V, bVI, VII if my memory serves me correctly
Take a look at these if you're new to harmonizing and scales.
