Absolutely I agree, you can really get carried away with the high mid push the definition adds If you aren't careful. That was probably the biggest error I made when I first got my kemper: turning it up too much.

I did the exact same thing. Super easy to get lost in all the tweaking and options of the Kemper. I had some old profiles that just sound so thin and harsh. Mostly from too much fiddling and not enough refining.

Bought!!!
Sounds great, good job!!! -
Purchased!
I like the first two profiles but the 3rd seemed a bit muddy with my setup ...almost like the neck pickup
Mess with the studio eq a little to try to dial it out. -
Thanks Caveman1
Try turning the definition up some. For me that usually helps clear up some muddiness. -
I upped the definition and power and it sounded great....then I saw VES did near the same as me lol, wish I saw that before
-
Glad that worked out for you. I personally like to run the definition up near 7-8. It just gives a nice punchy sound with my setup.
-
Caveman1, I posted. Clip on page 2 of this thread with channel 3 if you wanna take listen with those settings.
-
Bought the profiles and so far im loving the Vintage profile.
Did a quick sound test: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kdvz…triple%20recto%20test.mp3
No eq or anything. drums are steven slate 4.0.please make more!
-
Sounds good The_Bass_Ace. I really like the tight sound you got.
When you say Vintage profile are you talking about Channel 2? -
yes the second chanell. the modern profile is a bit to bright for my taste.
Are you planning to do more profiles?
-
Yeah, I have a Randall RH150 that I was thinking of profiling. I also have a 4x12 with Celestion v30s. I'm going to see about either doing a cab blend or maybe a Mesa/Randall blend.
-
I would love it if you could some more triple rec profiles. A boosted tri rec on the red modern chanell with scooped mids and little less "upfront"/bright/harsh sounding as your first pack would probably be my dream profile.
A thick tight modern metallica sound.
Anyway looking forward to the next pack cheers! -
I could do some more Mesa Rectifier profiles if anyone still wants it. I honestly just figured that people were kind of getting tired of Mesa profiles by this point. That's why I did such a small pack.
-
No way! rectos are really nice. sure there are a lot of recto profiles out there but they dont sound as good as i would like them to. You profiles have come the closest so far
-
Thanks, I really do appreciate it.
-
no way man, definitely do more! These are among the best out there for me, right up my style and alley. You do an excellent job with 2 mics, and no phasing issues, which is often uncommon around here in my opinion. Would love to hear more from you, especially if they are this good as well. what are you using for a micpreamp?
-
I use a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, so for now I can only do 2 mics. I have been wanting to experiment with more mics. Especially if I were to do a cab blend. The Mesa sounds really beefy with the dual cab setup in my room.
-
to me they are the best rectifier profiles i've come across, gladly payed for them and hope you come out with some more stuff!
Agree 100%, these profiles are awesome!
-
Just to post an update.
I'm in the process of arranging my place and dealing with personal stuff. After I get that organised, then i'll roll the equipment back in. I'll start profiling the Mesa with the 4x12, for those who wanted less highs and more bottom end(darker tone). I'll try to give more updates when I can.
For those who have bought the first pack, thank you.
If you make any killer music with the profiles be sure to link it to me so I can hear.
