DavidAJack:
Here are the Rig Manager settings I use for Logic on my Mac mini M1 with the latest version of Logic Pro 10.7.8. Note: This requires you to use the input monitoring button in Logic for the track. Make sure your Logic session is set for 44.1Khz and the Profiler interface.
-
maybe you could try and see if that does change something for your situation?
It never happened again after the reboot of both the Profiler and the Mac Mini M1.

this looks like your Mac is not fast enough: try to increase the I/O buffer size in Logic Pro
My computer should be more than fast enough for this task. As I stated above the problem went away after a reboot of both the computer and the Profiler. If it was my computer that same session should be experiencing this same issue which it isn't.

I don't have any problems when using my Apollo Solo Thunderbolt interface with my Mac Mini M1 and Logic.
I also have a major problem since i my M1 Mac Mini several months with loss of audio. I am also running Ventura 14.4. However, I have not had this happen with the Kemper USB audio yet. It only affects my Moto Ultralite Mk5. It is driving me mad. Motu even replaced the first Ultralite but I still have periodic loss of audio issues. I haven’t been able to troubleshoot it effectively but I suspect that my issues (and possibly yours) are related to Ventura and/or M1 Mac Mini’s rather than specific interfaces.

If you're directing that question to me the answer is no.
did you increase the I/O buffers

The Kemper USB interface for Mac (9.0.5) definitely still needs work! I've noticed that toggling direct Monitoring on and off a few times can cause Logic to loose the audio signal. Definitely not ready for prime time!

I just experienced the following issue with v 9.0.5 and 3.4.3.2 which I just installed this morning. 9.0.5 is the first version I have installed that supports the new USB interface. Once installed I recorded a track in Logic Pro 10.7.8 which recorded fine and played back fine a number of times. I then turned off my Kemper Rack and closed Logic for a bit then started up both again a few minutes later. I then proceeded to load that same Logic track I had just created but now on playback I had no sound. I checked settings and everything was still set up correctly, I tried playing the track again and once again no audio output but Logic threw this error below. I then proceeded to reboot both my Mac and the Kemper Rack and then everything was back to normal and I once again had audio for that track. Yes, that track was recorded at 44.1KHz. BTW, the Mac Mini M1 is running Ventura 13.4 . I'm also monitoring through the Kemper Headphone jack into IEM's.

I am not sure if this post belongs here and I apologize if it doesn't, but I just got the new Tonex and think is sounds...well...bad. I should point out that I play both my Kemper and Helix though tube power amps and a real 2x12 cab w/V30s. I went the same route with the Tonex, cab sims off, and it just doesnt cut it for me. Both Kemper and Helix piss on it with that type of setup. I guess the Tonex is more for FRFR and recording, dont know. I would certainly never use this thing live...its going back tomorrow.
You seem to be the only one I've come across that thinks it sounds bad. It is sold out everywhere and the consensus is it is a game changer.

Real Amp vs TONEX vs Kemper vs Quad Cortex Comparison - YouTube
Be interested to hear opinions? To me the first question would be if he refined the Kemper example which doesn't seem to be the case.
Update: I and others have asked the tester if he refined the Kemper profile he used in this test and his response is yes, it was refined.

Thank you for the info!

So am I to assume the only way to get rigs in the order you want under My Profiler is to delete them all first under My Profiler and then proceed to add the ones you want in the order you want?
-
Still new to the Kemper rack here and so far haven't found an answer to the following:
Within Rig Manager is there a way to overwrite a Rig in the My Profiler location with one for instance taken from Rig Packs or a rig from a folder of rigs I copied into the local library. If I try to copy one of rigs and try pasting it over the rig I want to overwrite in My Profiler I get the message the import failed. Can this be done and if so what is the proper way of doing it? Thanks in advance. My purpose is try an add a rig(s) in the order I want in My Profiler without having to erase them all first and then adding them in the order I want.

I sold my Quad Cortex recently, replaced it with a Kemper Rack, and couldn't be happier!

Interesting, just got this response from UAD.
To answer your question:
I want to use an XLR connection from my Kemper Profiler Rack XLR outs to the Apollo Solo USB I have to set the Solo inputs to Mic. However, isn't that going to color the sound of my Profiles coming out of the Kemper since it will be going through the Solo's mic preamp circuit? Not necessarily -- the PREAMP circuit by default simply applies clean gain to the incoming signal.
Just keep the PREAMP level at minimum and the UNISON slot in Console free from any plugins and you should have none to negligible amount of "coloration".
Best Regards,

Thanks for the info.

The UA Solo USB takes both TRS connectors and XLR. When using XLR cables their manual states that one should set the inputs to mic. Prior, I was using TS connections and noticed no ill effects when switching today to XLR and setting the inputs to mic for them. Do you still recommend I return to TS connectors?

musicmad: The problem had nothing to do with the Kemper when connecting it to the UA Solo USB interface via XLR cables. I was not getting any signal into the UA Solo interface. Turns out the solution was when using XLR cable connections to the inputs of the UA Solo one has to set the inputs to mic not line. I was thinking it should still be set to line and setting it to mic fixed the issue.

See the solution below.
