Don't know about how it will be but yes, it's a logical step. How can anybody say it's pricey at this point? The fm9 is 2300 Euros. That is unjustifiably pricey as HELL, for me.
The TM Pro should be 1699 retail, according to another Forum

He forgot to say "above the Kemper and not as good". Liquid Profiling blows them away by miles. I think Fender should stick to guitars and amps. I've never heard anyone consider their effects department as "high end" or above mediocre except for maybe their spring reverb. Prove me wrong.
Between Modeling and Profiling I'm 100% for the latter (especially with LP). The Powered Cab could be something, though....
New high end Modeler from Fender
The dedicated FR Speaker is kinda interesting though...

As we are looking forward to live a quieter life in the near future, we consider
ceasing all activity related to FCB1010 firmware and software development.
Are you (seriously!) interested in taking over this activity and ensure a long lasting
life for the UnO related stuff?
Looks like they are going out of Business
Ordered an Ovation 2778, Should be here this week. Needed something more roadworthy and Feedback resistent then my Epi EJ200. Have an upcoming series of gigs in acoustic duo format (and have to practice as well, been playing electric almost exclusively for the past 10 years)
Looking forward to the LP of his Twin, especially the Hot ones. They are absolutely unique
Any electric store has them
the Beta is the only version that supports LP. RM alone is not enough
you need to enable beta FW
Make sure both devices are connected to your computer running Rig Manager. The Stage should be connected via USB and the rack via Ethernet.
RM do not support ethernet connection
Here's a link with sample acoustic recordings of several mics to compare.
Choosing the Best Microphone for Acoustic Guitar - 32 Mic Shootout (sweetwater.com)
Great Link! Thanks. All of them in it. From a first round of hearing the AT4041 (attack and transients) and Neumann K184 (bass response and freq spread) makes the final run for me (don't want a large membrane one). My shop has both in stock, I'll see if I can try them 1:1 there.
Two microphones I can recommend : Beyer MC930 and Audio Technica AT 4051b.
I tried the AT4051 and was quite a bit duller then the 4041.
Drei Mal "Store" drucken.
Not in your choices but the main mic I use for acoustic is an AKG C451. Neumanns are awesome too but quite $$$. I might be stating the obvious but I'd say the room acoustics, the mic placement and the guitar itself are probably more influential on the final result.
AKG C451 on paper looks pretty similar to the AT4041. Agree on the rest, that part is sorted already (within given possibilities)
Hi folks, I would need some advice from the recording experts here. While I do studio work since over 30 years, I have always been relying on the experience of the producer/sound engineer for mic choices. Now I'm looking to select a dedicated mic for acoustic/classic guitar for my own home studio and I'm not 100% sure what way to go.
I'm down to 4 alternatives:
- Shure SM81: seems to be quite a standard for Acoustic Guitars in all studios that I've been in
- Audio Technica AT4041: Used it once for a recording with a Ramirez classic and still can't forget that sound, soo deep and rich
- Neumann KM-184: Single Mic (not looking for recording in Stereo). Well....is Neumann! Only downside is that all Neumann I've ever used do pick every possible small noise from the room (and at home I do not have a fully isolated room)
- Beyerdynamic M160: Have seen only raging reviews for Acoustic guitar recording, but never had a chance to try it. A studio where I work do have one, but I'm going to be there again only at the end of November and didn't wanted to wait that long.
Not interested in large membrane mics.
I have an ART Pro Channel II Mic preamp that I use for Voice, but I would prefer to plug directly in to my Onyx 12.
Thanks in advance for your views/advice.
Medically approved versions of super glue, like Dermabond, create a waterproof and antimicrobial seal on the skin that stays in place until the wound heals.
I actually have used super glue I had laying around and it worked but its totally not advisable. Maybe call your local pharmacist he might have a better idea than Dermabond.
If the cut is deep this is not going to work its only for small cuts.
+1. No need for Band Aid with this
After 37 years of gigging and recording, some week ago we did a family production for the wedding of my Step Son (a video with lots of pictures and the nicest moments). A song from Lion King as sound track, where the all family sang and I did a guitar solo in the middle. My wife came out with:"that guitar sounds wonderful"......never been happier
MattFig, MBritt, Rig Exchange for me.
Only because LP is there, nobody forces you to use it for everything. The Profiler still can do all what was always possible. Is the Tonestack of the amp not available? Just profile it at your sweet spot as before, it will not sound any worse.
