seriously...what a petty, bitter man.
-
they all seem to be overpriced for what i need. as mentioned above i am just about to set up 2 cheap switch pedals, to each of the footswitch jacks. one pedal for rig up/down, and one for 'stomps' on/off on my profiles. total cost about £20
-
right.
the Studio EQ is of course also very powerful in this setup, but to get a feel for the pre-dist-EQ plus post-dist-EQ concept, I recommend the GEQ with it's fixed bands one octave apart.
im looking at EQ for the first time, and happy to find my strat neck pickup has finally come to life with a little EQ. could someone describe the 'fixed bands one octave apart' quote? so i know what im looking at on the kpa GEQ values

wow, do you like orange? i used to have an elevenrack that was very nice, and cheaper aswell so you shouldnt lose too much money. sounds like you will be happier along those lines

i actually came across a youtube clip of a trainwreck liverpool supposedly called daisy here;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…o&feature=player_embedded
notice at the end there is a pic of the tubes, and there is a large octal tube in the pre amp, apparantely a few were specially voiced. does that look familiar andy? -
it does sound good, dont think ive tried carvin profiles yet, will be sure to check them out. nice playing aswell
-
cannot wait for the trainwreck on the way if they are on par with these
-
is this the matrix gm50 in a kemper enclosure?
-
its a plectrum holder. i use a large pick
-
-
there are plenty of fender/marshall profiles, trainwrecks not so much
-
i actually smiled listening to that. great job sir

Andy are these 'raw' versions the same as disabling the eq and reverb on the originals?
-
maybe she should have played tonight instead of ashley young

yesterday i bought a handful of profiles twice. by the evening i traded them in for the full bundle. Im not really a high gain guy, ive never had a mesa/high sound i could use without mushing out. the triple rec seems pretty darn amazing here.

i tried a handful of packs today and have to say im impressed. seem to be a bit more body, depth and richness from the few i sampled. i tried the champ, 65 amps, tone king and two rock. Really liking the tone king/2 rock w/pedals, i like to disable the reverb and eq on the profiles, and judge the raw amp tone. they tend to sound similar otherwise
Will now be trying a few more packs now ive had a glimpse at what they are like, good job! -
Again this is just an opinion. I just see this getting out of control and Kemper sales going down. For example I believe the facebook 'likes' under 4000 for this unit is VERY upsetting for the QUALITY and REVOLUTIONARY aspects of the device - many will argue that 'likes' have no reflection but for many including top execs at EMI and Universal it DOES matter...and I know this first hand. The community needs to be open and free so that more users will part with a large sum of money. I dont want to create arguments I just think if Christoph was to charge for every update/ rig pack/ fx people would not buy into the KPA. I realise the quality of Andy's work - this is NOT in question. Imagine if we had to pay also for the great cabs that Till brought us?!?!
i dont recall the tills cabs circumstances, but were they done on his own gear at home on his own time, or in a top studio/sound room with a plethora of other (hard to get/ expensive) gear that wasnt his own? Thats the difference, it was at cost to andy these profiles exist. He has contributed to the RE previous with a catalogue of varied amps which are still amoung some of the best available.
If people want to follow suit and try charging thats fine, but if they are not up to the standard provided then they simply wont sell -
Awesome work, Andy!
I consider purchasing some amps, but have you considered more discount options, like "buy 3 get 5" or "buy 7 get 10"?
I'm asking this behause I'm not interested in the whole enchilada but only a bunch of amps I tend to gravitate to.thats the great thing about having the packs seperate. i going to buy a couple tonight of the styles i know i need. if im impressed enough i can go back and try others if and when i feel. Think my first will be the tone king
