i dont think any of us will live long enough to see the performance mode, maybe our children will but probably not.
This made me think of changing my diet and doing more sports to add a few years...
EDIT: Just took the stairs instead of an elevator!
I like the pic in post #28 in this thread:

I'm lately been getting more and more interested in either the VG or Variax mainly for the acoustic/sitar sounds. This seems like it could be very handy at times. And atleast on some demos they do sound quite good to me. Maybe I could justify an early christmas present for myself...[Blocked Image: http://kemper-amps.com/library/wcf/images/smilies/smile.png]
Here's a demo of VG by Steve Stevens:

(edit: removed off-topic clutter... )
I could make a quick n dirty iPhone video of that
That would be great! As this is something specific to KPA it may be a bit confusing although the manual does explain it. Video would be a good additional explanation. (Don't make it too dirty so I can watch it with my kid )
They seem to have changed the color scheme for the two editions of KPA V2. I gotta say I dig the original colors better.
And I guess CK changed his first name too - TK formerly know as CK?

Beautiful! Without background knowledge of the legendary "Landau playing water bottle thread" this would be slightly absurd.
It's a vicious circle - looking for a search engine to find a search engine.
Anybody see this in the new issue (I don't have it)?
Quoted from Rig Talk:
" - they have this cool little "the amps that changed the world" kinda thing with all the usual suspects in it starting with the tweeds and bassmans and working through to the JMPs and the JCMs and the like. BUT!!! Surprisingly, it ends - as per the "future" or "today" on.........picture of the Kemper."
Sounds like a fun little nod to KPA.
The thread at RT:

Well if someone is really interested, some pages of the thread can still be found cached in Altavista search (search for example the phrase "horrific aliasing" from the past week and choose to see the cached version of the search results).
But the thread is/was the "same old same old" so not much to see there. That time is probably much better spent with playing guitar.
In FW 1.5.2 it does (atleast in the public beta version - have not upgraded to the release version yet).
He does have a few KPA V2's up there as well!
Oh yes, the original "white cap" editions. Cool!
Few fresh findings from the web
Video with John Huldt and KPA in LA Amp Show:

And KPA mentioned in an interview with Lukather about his new album:
http://westcoast-aor.ning.com/…steve-lukather-transition
"These days I like it simple and direct,” he says. “I plugged my new Music Man L-3 signature model guitar straight into a Bogner amp and miked it with an SM-57. Any effects were added at the mixing desk. I used a Kemper Profiling Amp for some of the weird sounds, and that was it. Live these days it’s just my guitar and amp and a couple stomp boxes — and I just go for it.”
Mudrock: you must tell us where to find those creme filled chicolate chickens
They are probably stolen too...
Mr. Mudrock welcome, real nice looking place you got there. Looking forward to your contributions and thoughts on KPA. Thanks for the profiles!
Ballantine, In all my S/PDIF tests, my Avid HD 192, Crane Song Avocet, and a consumer D to A were slaving to the KPA, and trying 3 different brands of digital cable, I experienced random and varying ticks that would sometimes go away with a rig change, but only to return at a later time.
I too used to have a lot of clicks/crackles via SPDIF that would go away with rig change only to return later. But a while back KPA support did some changes to remedy the situation and with couple of the latest public beta FWs I have not had the clicks anymore.
The copy/paste function keep in memory several datas.(how many, i don't know)
According to page 14 of manual addendum that comes with the latest public beta it stores 10 different character strings.
Just realized that there actually might be an element of truth in this. You can see the bottle KPA behind CK at 10:44 in this recent video - the cats out of the bag!
It's the new KPA design to be presented at musikmesse. Shape of a bottle. Convenient and very familiar to most musicians but a bitch at airport security.
I just realized looking at the amount of views this thread has, that this probably is the most read thread on this forum - or atleast right there on top. I personally don't have a problem with the artifacts discussed here (be it my ears, playing style or lack of it...), but there seems to be a lot of interest in this.
And on top of that you also have threads like the one below on other forums:
http://www.ultimatemetal.com/f…mper-profiling-amp-9.html
So I guess some comments from the KPA staff would be welcome. But I also know from the few contacts I've had with Kemper support that they are really forthcoming on the issues raised in email exchange even if they don't discuss or speculate on those issues in the same detail on the forum - until they've had a solution to offer. So I'll be happily playing my KPA and following this thread occasionally. But if this is causing sleepless nights for some users, it may be worth contacting support to see what they got to say about this. And hopefully some solutions will arise for those who already have done just that.
