Buying a AssFX II costs 3k now not on the waiting list? I thought it was $2600?
Never had to cancel my waiting list slot since I never wanted the thing to begin with.

I bought a second Kemper just to profile my first Kemper. I will throw the profiles up shortly. They are awesome.
I still find it odd for those of us that have high dollar converters and clocks setups having to clock to a guitar processor. Being able to slave the spdif would be more ideal for in†egration in studios.
Yep, only master for the KPA
Well that totally sucks. I am hoping they plan to change that with a update cuz that is severely limiting.
thanks
While on the subject of spdif can it be a clock slave? I haven't gotten around to using spdif yet but will shortly and I thought I read someone say it can only be the master. Is this true? That would rule using spdif out in my setup.
Yes!
Just a pale knockoff of the original. Eventide.
cool idea . When doing the cab profiles i thought about putting my "refinining stuf" into a daw and just play that back to the KPA. Would be another great use for that "audio loop" function that was discussed before. Store a "refinfing input" file, that works nicely for you, and the KPA could automatically do it.
Interesting. Scott (feck) and I were just discussing that very thing last evening by phone on somehow direct recording guitar passages to be played back into the Kemper in the refining stage for consistency and convenience. Or better yet if the Kemper could record and store guitar "signatures" it could use in the profiling process on top of the usual Kemper test tones. This way you could have a database of guitar direct signals of your own guitars and also possibly even sharing other guitar profiles from other users. Of course, no owe seems to be sure what exactly makes for the most accurate guitar playing technique used for profiling.
Same here - I'm sworn to secrecy about the price i paid for my KPA.
I got mine for free through a government entitlement program for starving musicians.
Yeah there are definitely some odd forum issues. I had the same problem logging in awhile back.
In my 25+ years of recording miced up cabs, I have never been happy with using just one mic. Its like you only get a small peice of the ideal picture. The first mic is perhaps 60%, the second mic adds perhaps 30% and a well chosen 3rd mic just might add the missing 10,,, or some of it. But make very sure they are all at the same distance from the speaker and in phase or very far away, or phase issues might land you well back under 50% again.
I think the ideal situation would for the Kemper to be able to run †wo amp models simultaneously. That way you could profile the same rig twice with different mics and then blend them together in the Kemper.
thanks Scott!
Don't forget to send me that care package we talked about.
Figured out what it was. You can't have the Amplifier Compression setting too high when using stomps, this particular patch had it turned up halfway.
Yup. I have been noticing this lately on 1.04. Green Screamer and Mouse both do it.
Sounds cool!
No I don't buy that argument. I run my own software development business and I would never release software that was riddled with bugs like this. When I pay for something I expect it to work 100% of the time.....I didn't buy this unit to be a beta tester !!!
If you aren't happy and don't have patience just return it or sell it. I am sure Kemper and crew are doing the best they can.
I would also like total midi control programability where I can in†egrate external effects such as a Eventide H8000 so the effects can change per rig.
Couple of built in expression pedals would be cool.
Working in tandem with the Performance mode you really wouldn't need a lot of switches I'd imagine. You'd program each patch/rig and could just cycle through them for a given song that had all the settings/switchs already baked..
Like any new software you can expect bugs. You ei†her have to have patience to wait it out or jus† move on.... I for one think it's worth waiting for. Haven't experienced any boo†up freezes but I have gotten two operating freezes in the 2 weeks I have had it. Doesn't bother me that much as it works most of the time but I expect all these kinks will be worked out.
Any news on the new BMW 5 series?
