It's obvious that with real amp he means AXE-FX 2. Don't make this Kemper vs Axe thread... Thanks for profile, I will try it as soon I get my Kemper back from our rehersal room.

You can set it to mute (tuner settings). Little three led tuner (just above chicken head knob...) is also usable.

Well, now that you've got me thinking... the KPA would really benefit from a convincing Spring Reverb tank algorithm - preferably one that could be loaded pre (stompbox) or post (FX).

I think program called total commander could do the trick.

My vote for smaller one.

Voodoo lab Sparkle drive for example...

For power amp / cab use: I have manually shut off cabinet and use monitor out (with cab bypassed). Should i just leave cabs on and use cab bypassed monitor out? There should not be difference, right???
I tuned my sound with firmware 1.09. I know have 1.10 and gig coming with very little adjusting time. What is the main difference with monitor out sound between these two versions. I'm scared that my sound have changed for worst.
Neurotic, right...

I also don't understand what you mean about blend setting...

Both will work. I think nobody can say which is better for your taste... Try Kemper couple of weeks. If you don't get the tones your want, send it back and try Axe 2. Try many user profiles before decision though.

People, focus.
Why Andy's profiles seems to be so much better than others? It's not just reverb and delays he is using more than others. Is it because his profiles are ready to .... Rock? They are not skeletons, they have 'meat'. Or? Why? --pia
I bought Mesa triple recto and Toneking. Not my cup of tea; for my taste there are much better profiles available. Well it was only 10 euros, so i did not take too bad hit there... Changing the cabinet helps a little, but the base tone is still not as good at i would have hoped it to be. I tuned the input sensitivity (clean) for my strat and used strat profiles. For recto i still like Tills modern recto much better.

KPA Operating System 1.1.0v2 Public Beta
Resolved issues:- Changing rigs does not produce a click noise anymore
I have not tried it yet, though.

Point taken. I guess it's a matter of taste anyway... Spring reverb is my main request; after that i'm pretty sold
Whammy/pitch -effects would be cool also, but not that important to me. -
I use Route 808 in Kemper's loop and it sound's much better than Green screamer. IMHO overdrive/distortion boxes are Kemper's weak point. Kemper drives are about same caliber that AXE-FX standard and neither are as good as any of my overdrive boxes.

I also would want spring reverb for those beautiful Fender sounds... Firmware 1.09 is great

Update Kemper to newest version (1.08xxx). That should do the trick! Some older versions had monitor out disabled.

I got this reply from Kemper:
QuoteDear tnakari,
in the next firmware version, which we are actually testing, there
are two stomp noise gates available, which you can position whereever
you like.Sincerely,
Burkhard Dinnies
Good news!

Hi,
Kemper's (before amp) distortion loop hiss very much when i put my Route 808 -overdrive in there (actually it hiss even with out anything connected). Mono loop and stereo loop are even noisier. It would be nice to use tubescreamer as a preset specific boost, but there is just way too much of noise. Is there anyway to make hiss go away? Noise gate does not work, because loop is after the gate...
I've tried with three different overdrives (gain very low) and different cords. Also tried on grounded and ungrounded sockets and every ground lift combination. Nothing seems to work. Of course i could use Kemper's own "screamer", but in my opinion floor pedals are much better.
