The profile above have the gain a little too low, try to increase it to 5, thats how it should be. At least with my guitars...

Here is the profile I have always go back to for that old dry vintage zztop kind of sound.
For me most profiles of old Marshall are just to bright.
This profile may sound dark at low volume, but try turn up the volume to stage level, then it cuts through the mix without getting harsh even with bends on the 15. fret on the high E string .
Its a profile of my 1963 Fender Vibroverb reissue with Eminence Blue Alnico speakers and a rare TKI Mobster overdrive pedal in front.
Its miked up with a Audio Technica 4081 ribbon mc.

I actaually sold my ax8 today, both my Kempers are gonna stay.....

Solved...I had left the hold function on when i powered down the kpa.
When I un ticked the "hold" everything was back to normal, normal, normal, normal..........

I updated my kpa to fw 5 and the delays worked great, after power off and on the new delays are gone.
Legacy delays work ok, but as soon as I browse to any of the new delays the delay sound is not present.
If choose any of the new delays and bring the mix up to max(just wet delay) there is no sound from the kpa.
The kpa shows all the delay presets in the display like "Dual crystal", but no sound.
I tried to reinstall all the delay preset on a usb stick, but the kpa tells me that they are already in the pool.
Does anybody knows what to do to get the new delays back?

I have several footcontrollers that can control my Kemper, Kemper Remote, RJM Mastermind GT 16 and BJ Devices TB 12.
To me Bj Devices TB12 is the best value for money if you compare functionality, price and size.
TB12 has 12 switches with 3 color LED indication that can be assign to almost anything like CC# numberes, IA switches and NRPN control parameters.
It has a backlit blue display, 2 exp pedal inputs that can be assign to control any CC# in the Kemper and 2 relay outputs to control ext equipment.
The two exp pedals can be set up to control any CC# parameter on the Kemper, unlike the remote that can only do vol, wah, pitch or morphing.
I have one exp pedal setup for morphing, and the other for either delay feedback to get the Strymon el capistan delay/oscilation effect or reverb mix. It depends..
The display has a great tuner with arrows >E< that indicate when you are in tune, and its easier to see if you are in tune than the Remotes bubble tuner, and the display is bright and not so dark as on the remote.
The tuner is activated when any of the footswitches are held down, and you can setup the time it needs to be hold down before it activates the tuner.
The display shows preset name in browser mode, and song name and scene number in performance mode.
It works great in both performance or browser mode with no lag on the diplay when changing scenes, and preset can be assign to any switch in browser mode without renaming the preset like on the Remote.
Presets and IA switches have different LED colors. What I really like about the TB12 is that is´s almost the same size as the Remote, have less weight, almost half price, and can do so much more.
Also that the display are placed between the two rows of footswitches. That way there are more space between first and the second row of footswitches so its not so easy to hit the wrong footswitch.
The customer support is great, Sergey at BJ Devices answer mail right away.
I mailed and asked if it was possible to use a switch with LED indication to control slow/fast tremolo speed with user slow and fast vaules by NRPN control.
Four days later I received a new beta firmware with that function.The only downside is ext. powersupply and that it need two MIDI cabels like the Rjm.

I have fw. 4.06.12421 Can anyone advice how to get "tempo enable" ticked off. Suddenly all my presets have the "tempo enable" ticked on.
I´m not sure if this happened after fw update.
I try to tick off tempo enable for a preset, but it comes back to every preset when changing preset in browser mode.
I have tried to tick off the tempo enable and store there preset, but that does not help.

First I bought The Kemper Remote. The plus is that is get powered from the Kemper via the Cat cable, and its easy to use.
What I dont like with the Remote is that you have to use it in performance mode and scences to get the most out of it.
If you are used presets the you can use browser mode, but you can not assign preset to the easy way.
You have to rename the presets with a number before the preset as the remote choose preset alphabetic or by number before the name.
You can assign tap, tuner and looper switch other functions, but they dont have any LED indication for on/off status.
The four expression pedals input can only control morph,wah,vol or pitch. You control almost any parameters with morph pedal, but not separate.
If you want to use the morph to control gain, you can not control other parameters with another exp pedal like reverb or delay mix.
All have to be done at the same time with the morph pedal, and that means if you want to blend in reverb without adjust the gain. It is not possible.
We can hope this will be possible in future firmware versions. Another thing is that display is not backlit and can be difficult to see in some light conditions.
The Rjm Mastermind GT can do almost anything, all switches and exp pedals can be assign to CC# or NRPN.
It has 4 exp inputs and 4 ext switch inputs, backlit displays for each switch ,a large master display, plus a great PC/Mac editor.

I have taken the idea from paults one step further by adding two plywood plates that can be removed.
One that goes from the bottom of the case to stiffen up the top plate, the other are on top of the stand as a baseplate for the Kemper.
My backup Kemper and bag fits in the stand on stage. The two extra plywood plates fits in the case for transport. Easy cheap stand, that works well with two Kempers and 3 guitars.

Would be great if the Remote LEDs on the tap and looper would work if the buttons are assign to some else than the default.
If these buttons are assign to turn on/off effect 1-4, X, mod, the LEDs today does not show the on/off state.

Well, well. From a theoretical point of view the built-in reverb of a guitar amp was meant to emulate the "hall during a gig" - just for the small rehearsal room. During the gig the other guy had two reverbs, one in his amp, eventually clashing with the "hall" all of you were in and blended nicely together... And yes, Ingolf, less is very often more... However, the industry likes us to ignore this way too often...

The Big Reverb effect was ment to be used in a quiet sad blues song to make it sound exsterme huge and sad, kind like the intro of "Shine on you crazy diamond", but it ended up just sad...

I have made output preset, the problem was that i just edited it without knowing it...

Last weekends gig had rigs on with long Reverb and stereo delay´s for huge sounding solo parts with clean/breakup sound.
After the soundcheck the FOH sound engineer told me to turn downThe L/R signal down a bit, because he wanted more headroom on the input of his console.
So I entered the Output menu and scrolled until I saw the master and monitor encoders beside each other and turned down what I thought was the Output volumes...
I had huge reverb and delay in my DXR 10(connected to Monitor out) on stage during the concert, but I thought i did not sounded as huge as on the soundcheck.
So I thought ok, I´m gonna check the multitrack recording of the gig tomorrow and see If I need to change the rev and delaymix settings.
When I sat down and listen to the multitrack the next day,my guitar sound was bone dry....
I have played a gig with no reverb or delay sent to FOH, just to my monitor.
I checked the output soure menu, and that when I found out that In the stressed live situation I had chosed the wrong output page,
Output Source instead of Output Volumes. I had changed the routing from L/R stereo master out, to Mod mono out before delay and reverb blocks
The good part was the the bone dry guitar sound sat good in the mix, and better than the other guitarist with his Bogner Helios and 2x12 cab miked up with a ribbon mic.
So I have learned to have a closer look at meny page before I turn the encoders.

Yes. The looper switch are also free to assign.

I use morph on delayfeedback for one rig, and it works ok, the downside is that I also control gain by morphing. So I only get delay osc effect at max gain... With my big setup I use a ia switch on my rjm mm gt
to control delay feedback, and then I can use my exp for just gain and eq morphing. Downside are a bigger pedalboard... I hope the remote someday can do the same thing.....
