Great song and great album.

Just remember It's the sound of an amp Mic'ed up not "in the room." good luck.
Great point and that's something some missunderstand when they buy a kemper at first . And it's a matter of how it sounds in a band/mix content that matters first and most. And that profiles that sound great in solo usually don't work together in a band/mix. Solo I love darker tones but they never work in a mix. Too muddy. Tweaking? I usually never tweak at all. At the most a very few steps on treble and presence at the most.
-
Why don't you use one of the EQ's in the kemper?
-
My comment wasn't so serious either. It might perhaps looked like that though.

Fired from a drink and drug abuser because of drinking habit? That's hilarious. But Ozzy has treated so many musicians so bad and he complain how bad Tony treated him in BS. Anaway Zakk should have stopped using his pinch harmonics years ago. We have heard it enough already. Just like Kirks insisting on using a wha pedal during his solos.
-
Why would you need more for? Honestly I think so many profiles have too long names already.

I can confirm as a married guitarist that the sooner you switch the language from "need" to "want" the quicker you get acceptance ( as you'll never get agreement)
I don't know why most women behave the same way no matter where in the world we live. After all they spend more money on shopping than men do. Ask them how much do they really need all the shoes and cloths they're shopping? So much they use once or twice or sometimes never and cost a fortune. But they love to nag on their husbands and boyfriends.
I don't have that problem. If I say I'm going to buy another guitar all she says which one? She never question my purchases and neither do I with her. We take care of our economy and bills and what we do after all is paid is up to ourself. I guess I'm lucky. I couldn't stand anyone question why I do for my money.
But I guess many of you guys are like me. 200$ for cloths? That hurts and so expensive. A new guitar for 2K? Okay that's a good bargain and I open up the wallet without blinking.

I haven't bothered and after watching this two hilarious videos I know for sure I will still keep not bother.

Sure you can tweak a lot. But for me, if it doesn't sound great as soon as I load one, I delete it. A tiny tweaking like a little more treble/presence, or a little less of it, sure. But more than that, no.

For me profiles work like any new pedal/effect, and that is it gives me new inspiration, new riffs. So that's one reason i check new profiles occasionally.

The versatility of the Kemper brought me to the shocking realization I needed more guitars.
That was true for me too. You can have too many pedals but you can' t have enough of guitars.

I know I blither on about this but I don't get it...
Every time I've used an external drive pedal, its added noise and hassle. I then find myself unclear if I'm setting my amp to clean and using the pedal drive or balancing drives. I know the answer is you can do either but why? Most of the time ( and I'm talking about OD and gain pedals) you need them to make up for deficiencies in a single channel/limited channel amp. In the car world the premise is if you want a fast car, you start with a fast car, not try to turn a slow car into a fast one. I know its not as binary as that but I also don't think its much more than gain and eq...
In the analogue world it makes sense rather than run multi-amp set ups. In the digital world it seems less relevant.
I totally get the link back to the analogue world, the fun of trying new pedals...hey we've all had GAS, but I'm a bit relieved I've had now amp GAS since having a KPA..
That said, I am excited that the Kemper team will produce something to get the "pedal heads" ( and I mean that affectionately) revved up!
I don't get any added noise with a external OD pedal if I put it in front of the kemper. Or did you use them in the loop?

When I had my Helix, I was constantly tweaking it because it always just sounded a bit flat. For the 3 weeks I had a Fractal FM3, I had to program it so much just to get it set up how I wanted it. Now that I have the Kemper Stage, I have a new problem - I have too many damn good rigs to choose from!
I play mostly instrumental post metal stuff, so I tend to gravitate towards higher gain amps with nice bite and upper mids. Howrver I also love clean, lush spacey tones, and a good modded Marshall sound for leads.
Just for high gain tones alone, there are some amazing factory rigs (5150, 5150III, Recto, Friedman). I've also bought some commercial rigs that are great. I can literally spend hours a day just tweaking tones because it's fun.
How the hell do you all just choose some rigs and get on with your lives? ???
The first couple of months that was all I did, browsing profiles. But eventually I found some favv and was satisfied with that ....Nah who the hell am I trying to fool? After a couple of months I find a few other better favvs and...it never stops.

Never heard of this amp. I will give the profile a chance tomorrow.

No I haven't . But John Lord used amp for his organ sound. Distortion and overdrive pedals have been used in studios even for voices so the of course the kemper can be used for many things.

Hello Kemper forum - I love my Kemper and the profiles I've accumulated (rarely use my tube amps anymore!) My "use case" is essentially recording tracks (Kemper to Presonus Quantum to Logic Pro X) that are going to be used on various streaming releases (iTunes/Spotify/etc.).
I love the sounds/tones I've been able to get! I'm curious - what tips and tricks can anyone offer for plugins that they use on their guitar tracks (EQ, compression, etc.) to really get them to sit properly in the mix and do them justice?
I play indie/post-punk rock, so it varies quite a bit in terms of tone and intensity. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!

Well EQ is a must for mixing. In theory high and lowpass filter should be enough, but in reality, not enough. How, well it depends on the song. No one can tell you do this and that and it will sound good. It all depends on the sound(profile in this case), guitar and pickup(s)you use. I guess you already have a DAW and the stock plugins will do both for EQ and compression. If you need compression, well it may depend on your goal with a song, profiles used. Oh, and a quite expensive third party plugin so many pro use is soothe. It's kind of a dynamic EQ.

I treated myself to a Kemper Toaster on my 50th birthday last month. Well it would have been rude not to treat oneself on such a special BD!
Previously searching through various amp sims and settled with Amplitube. Home user only but WOW the Kemper has not disappointed.
I actually fired up Amplitube the other day and realised just how good the Kemper is. The sound the feel
Take care all
Welcome. After a couple of years I did the same and fired up Amplitube and even IR's because everyone should know ampsims own cabs sucks at least 90% of the time. And how thin, mediocre and uninspiring it sounded compared to the kemper. Once kemper you won't go back to ampsims.

I was big fan of Within Temptation until the last record that was a bit too popmetal for my taste and I only liked a few songs. Heard a few from the last and meh! They have passed their best before date for me.

?!
Not so. First of all the Tube Screamer came out in ‘83. I think the Klon was like 1993 or 1994.
The Klon is known for its soft buffer. The Tube Screamer is known for it compression and mids hump. Both are “prescribed” to goose the front of a semi-pushed amp, like a Deluxe Reverb on four or five, with single coil pickups. But tons of people have used them successfully at different settings and withhumbuckers.Stevie Ray Vaughan used two Tube Screamers. I believe that’s where Trey Anastasio picked that trick up. One of his is at zero drive and the other is at full, both followed by I think a Dan Armstrong compressor.
Klon is sort of king of the “transparent” (not really) drives. But Analogman KOT, Boss Blues Driver and OD-1 .. are other early days standard-bearers. They’re all classic recipes. Obviously there are several more. Nobels ODR1 etc etcNothing wrong with a guitarist wantIng what he/she knows and is comfortable with. Even if what we hear in the end isn’t so different.
Wrong! The tube screamer came out 1979 and was licensed from Maxon until 83.
