That sound is THE holly grail for men of a certain age!
After many years of searching my conclusion is that the Beano tone is all in the fingers. The actual amp tone is not so important. Not too hot, not too clean and not too modern with a lot of mids and dynamics. How it feels and the effect on your playing style is more important than the actual tone. The best profile I have found for that feel is the 63 Vibrolux in Andy's vintage and rare pack.
Hideaway cover - Amp Factory 63 Vibrolux
Thanks for the tip. I will give it a go.

52. Started playing guitar in 1968. Wish I had made more of a point of insisting my parents bought me a 1959 les paul at the time (or several!).

Put me down for a CD when it is finished. Great work. Interesting and melodic, but also relaxing to listen to.

Wow! Love the production quality and tight arrangement.

I sold all my amp and all pedals on ebay a few weeks ago. No looking back!

Just noticed that the utube clip has been picked up on the Gear Page forum as shining example of what the Kemper can do. I just need it to be picked up by the Fractal forum and I will have the complete set!

The guitar used was a Les Paul Collectors Choice #2, bridge pickup which is a burstbucker 3

David, I think you have a minor error in your soundcloud link. If you would remove the hashtag ("#") from the URL everything should be working fine for all users.
thanks -
I think SoundCloud is having some issues this morning. I changed the link to my SoundCloud home page which should be more reliable, and added an alternative YouTube link. I think YouTube is now offering higher sound quality on HD playback than SoundCloud anyway.

I have the AF 63 Vibrolux rigs. Care sharing exactly which one you used and its settings?
Hi, thanks for your kind words.
I used the 63-Vibrolux Full profile with the following tweaks:
Cab character to +1.2 and Cab low shift to -1.4 to clean up an old speaker and give it more of a 4x12 feel
Eq Mid to +2.7 to give a bit of warmth to the bridge pickup
I left the KPA reverb on during recording and also added some more reverb in the DAW. To my ears this sounded better than recording without reverb and adding it all in the DAW. It also helped to have the reverb on when playing. There was also some light compression on the master. -
Finally fulfilled a long held ambition and made an acceptable recording of this classic track.

The Amp factory make it clear in their terms and conditions that the profiles are sold to you for your own use only, and are not to be shared or resold. THat is a contract you enter into when you pruchase. So I think they have it legally covered. You could only legally resell the profiles with their express permission, which would be on a case by case basis. Seems a decent arrangement to me in an honest world. Although enforcing in a dishonest world would be almost impossible.
On a more general point (a bit off topic) I wonder what the legal difference is between A) ripping a CD and selling the sound file that you created to others and B) profiling an amp and selling the profile you created to others. Both are copying sounds created by others to the potential detriment of the original creator. Anyone here know what the legal difference is?

A looper may be included in the foot controller... see CK's comments here The Kemper Foot Controller: Evolution

White Kempers now seem to have the same vents in the back too.. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ProfilingAmp/

A dedicated hi pass and low pass filter would be great.
It is vital for hi-gain sounds. It could be added to the cab block like the AxeFx II does.
This way it frees up X and MOD slots.+1 good idea

Bluesbreaker included in this new pack?
Edit - sorry being dim. Missed the JTM45 picture in your poster. -
