smfelton - I just uploaded 2 Blackstar rigs (clean & gain) using the headphone jack instead of a microphone as you suggested. Since the headphone jack skips the power amp and cab, Blackstar uses an emulation. I set it for 4x12 emulation. I didn't try swapping cabs to see if they could be improved.

@GS - not confusing at all. Release documentation was very clear. Only confusing if you didn't read the release notes.

Mine was doing the same thing (hanging while downloading). I closed the app, waited a few minutes and then restarted it. I had to do this 3 or 4 times before it completed everything. Not sure if it was RM or the RE server. But it finally did complete.
-
I just did a quick preview of the rigs you just added. These are some really excellent rigs that you've posted. Many of them have a nice gritty sound. Killer! Thanks.
-
Just a heads up. RM 1.0.50 will delete rigs from your RE copy you have on RM if the rigs were deleted from the Rig Exchange on-line. I guess this is to keep your copy of RE consistent with what is on-line. Downside is you loose access to those deleted rigs unless you've copied them off somewhere. I made a copy of my local RE before I updated so I wouldn't loose any rigs. You should consider this before doing the update.
Edit: Removed text calling it Beta #5.

Noise gate (front panel knob or FX stomps) options don't work for you?

Found a forum thread with a member using the GT-100 as MIDI for Kemper. Sounds really limited since the switches are momentary (same as mentioned in the GT-10 thread I posted earlier).
Axe2 Gone 2 Month 3 Gig KPA Review
I'm not a MIDI savvy person, so I can't really help in that regard. But I would:
1. PM the person in the thread above to see if they will respond and provide direct experience/info on your set-up.
2. Yes a picture along with a description of what you are trying to do will help.
Best of luck

Welcome to the Kemper forum. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the KPA.
To be technically correct, the KPA is the preamp. What you'll need is a power amp to drive the cabs/speakers. (original post updated)
If it were me, I wouldn't buy any additional hardware until you become more settled with your KPA purchase. You have many options already based upon the hardware you listed.
1. The KPA sound great through a good set of headphones.
2. You can get the FRFR sound by using you JBL LSR305 monitors. I'm using a set of LSR308s and they sound great to me. Some folks want the FRFR sound/experience, others don't care for it. You should try it and decide for yourself. Several folks on this forum are using the LSR305s and like them.
3. You can go monitor out from the KPA to the fx loop in on any of your amps to utilize the power amp section and the associated cab. Probably not a long term solution, but would give you many sound options.Make sure you have cab sim on for the JBLs and cab sim off for going in through the fx loop.
If you search this forum, you will find many discussions/options for FRFR and use of guitar cabs. You can also find discussions on amp in the room options.
Tony
Additional comment: The powerhead version will be too much for home use. I guess you could keep it turned way,way down, but seems like an overkill.

Not sure if anyone on the forum has already setup a GT-100. I guess you could put that question out to the forum. Doing a quick google search I found some similar items:
GT-10 --> http://www.wikpa.org/Using_Spe…DI_Controllers#Boss_GT-10
Good youtube tutorial for POD HD-500 --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSWX7_qOwgY
Having been on this forum for a few short months, I've found the quality of responses are directly related to the 'quality' of the question. The more effort you put in (manuals, search forum, wiKPA, ...), the more in depth the help. If you make little (or no) effort, your responses will probably be of same quality. I'm not flaming you, just pointing out my observation of several months.
As a side note: You'll find Ingolf to be one of the most helpful members on this forum. He did give you some direction to point you in the right direction before he pointed you to the manual.
Again, not flaming. Welcome to the KPA and the forum. It is an incredible piece of gear, with amazing sounds and a great company & forum behind the product. Best of luck with the KPA and Boss GT-100 integration.

That really sounds great. What rig(s) did you use?
-
Welcome. Hope you can survive on little sleep as the KPA will consume many a waking hour. Much enjoyment - little sleep.
-
I really like it. Nice vibe.
-
Great song. Super playing. Awesome sound and production.

Good to hear you found the tone you were looking for. Even better that you were able to get a good profile of it. How about sharing the profile? If not, at least put up a sound sample so we hear it.

Page 2 Post 20 is a drop box. That's where I found them.

I believe this is what's called a convenience sample (look it up) which has no basis in probability. Therefore, it is a fallacy to calculate and quote statistics from these data. Statistics are based on samples that are consistent with the laws of probability. It is clear that of those voted, more are Mac users. Nothing more.
Let the statisticians respond in ...3 .. 2 .. 1

Welcome and enjoy the Kemper.
