Profiles without a cab are direct amp profiles. These exist for guitar and bass.
The majority of rigs available are either studio or merged rigs and include a cab.
You can freely exchange and combine cabs between rigs.

What view type is selected? Select ALL RIGS to access the complete list of rigs inside your Profiler.
if you want to use the USB Audio reamping feature you need to assign the Profiler as the input and output device in Logic. In your current configuration the DI signal is sent to your Scarlett audio interface.
CCs und Schalter können nur Effekte kontrollieren die auch im Rig verwendet werden.
I've called Kemper (but had to leave a message), scheduled an in-person appointment at their showroom in Chicago (but never heard anything back to confirm), I've emailed (TWICE), and asked about getting a backup Player power supply multiple times in the comment sections of Kemper's Instagram posts about the Player. Crickets. When I had an issue with my Stage a couple of years ago, Kemper's customer support was SUPER fast, friendly, and totally helpful. Now..... Ugh.
please use the contact form in the support section of the Kemper website for your inquiry. Make sure to log into your account before using the contact form and select product support inquiry as the feedback type.
Kemper Support #1 is this a known issue ?
first time I hear of that.
There will be some latency while switching between the slots of a performance if the Profiler is connected to Rig Manager at the same time.
This is explained in the reference manual.
What version is currently installed and which version was installed before you updated?
Is the Profiler connected to a computer that is running Rig Manager?
How are you switching between the rigs? With a Remote? Over MIDI? Or using the rig buttons on the front panel?
my advice is to open a ticket using the contact form in the support section of the Kemper website. Make sure to log into your account before using the contact form and select product support inquiry as the feedback type.
the rig volume parameter in the rig menu is the best way to balance the levels between different rigs.
you can set the desired location for the volume pedal in the rig settings with the volume pedal location parameter.
You can either store a different location for every rig or use the volume pedal lock function to make the volume pedal settings global.
which version of Rig Manager and the Player OS are you running?
Make sure to install the latest public beta versions.
Bluetooth is for audio transmission from the mobile device to the Player only. Rig Manager requires a wifi connection.
a merged Profile is a combination of a direct amp profile and a studio profile. If you turn off the cab section in a merged profile you are left with a direct amp profile.
I just learned that the 24 dB boost is only true if the pedal is not located at the output but f.e. before the stack.
If you place the volume pedal at the output the total boost is 6 dB when the range is set to +5. For a 4 dB boost you need to set it somewhere between +3 and +4.
Update: the exact value for a 4 dB boost is 3,3.
if you send CC#7 over MIDI you do not have to configure the pedal input to work as a volume pedal. Instead you can use it for something different like a wah.
CC#7 will automatically control the volume.
CC#73 controls the monitor output level. If you want to create a boost function that affects the signal at all outputs you need to send CC#7 and set the range for the volume pedal in the rig settings to a positive value. A value of +5 will give you a boost of 24 dB when you send a value of 127 for CC#7.
If you want this behavior to be global you need to lock the volume pedal settings in the rig menu.
This works in general but seemed to cause a phasing issue.....really noticeable when i bypass the external effect. tried swapping left /right cables but..
The phasing issue goes away if i take my external effect output to an external mixer, summing the 2 on the mixer in stereo.
you have to set up the external effect to send only the wet signal to the Aux-in inputs. Mixing in the dry signal will cause phasing.
