I feel like it'll take years for me to get aquatinted with the factory rigs. I've been stuck on a particular plexi for a few weeks and don't have the urge yet to turn the browse knob.

Those profiles are so incredibly close - whatever differences may exist are irrelevant. Just incredible - to my ears.

How is the Pelican foam holding up over time?
-
There are a lot of guys on the Gear Page who have really cool amps like Komets and Greer and Metropoulos and Jim Kelly and other somewhat rare boutique amps that if it were easy to do a remote profile I would. Just send them a file and they send me a couple of files. But from these posts it's clear to me I won't be doing that any time soon. Would open up a lot of doors though!

Why is refining difficult? I just need a recording of some open position power chords through your amp? Or is there a timing issue there as well?

Has anyone tried recording the sounds the kemper makes in the profiling process direct to their DAW (i.e. not through a guitar amp)?
I thought if I have a clean recording of that, I could email it to a person with amps I want to profile and they can record the sounds played back through their amps?

Already downloaded the Morgan AC20 and the Thierry Fender profiles in anticipation of
my rack arriving on Friday.Did you get a chance to check it out over the weekend? Or is it next Friday?

Hello!
I have a Matrix NL12 for about a week now, here is some experiences with Kemper Powerhead.
At first, I must say that Kemper Powerhead surprised me and convinced me to switch completely from tube heads.
Even more, my band colleague switched to Kemper tooSo, at the end, it seems that NL12 will be my main cab now
How are you finding the NL12 now that some time has passed? I have a non-powered Kemper and am considering getting and NL12 to use it with both the Kemper+power amp and with traditional guitar amp heads.

And Guthrie is using his new Charvel sig series guitar. I'm a fan of early Charvels (and new ones).

In this case I think 2 is better than 1.

My guitar teacher in my formative years used a tele, I loved the sound of it, loved his style of playing, and to this day I still try to hear his lines and get his jazzy rock/blues into my playing.
I have a lovely left handed 52 RI.
Before that, I never liked any Tele's I had except a Hot Rod 52 RI, but this one is better (Alnico 5's in them which changed after 1998)
But I've heard a lot of those Nocasters online in demo's and they are just beautiful sounding. Why do they sound different than regular RI's?
Or is it just I'm hearing good players who own them?

Here's a pic of my nocaster. It's a beast, very powerful bridge pickup that sounds wonderful.

Great sound and really cool playing man.

Man that was awesome. That guitar solo changed the world. And you manage to get that dancing quality that Ed has when he plays, that swing. Superb!

But how did you roll with each firmware altering your tweaked presets? Easy to fix, frustrating, deal breaker, or no problem at all?
I didn't care that much, couldn't tell much of a difference honestly. I always got a sound I liked in whatever Version I was using. I love music, love to play in a band, love vintage guitars (I have a real '51 nocaster), but I'm really not a tone connoisseur. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good amp or modeling amp, the Axe is great and the Kemper is great. I'm much more concerned about my playing, and much more critical of that area than the tech area. As long as the tech area is giving me a great sound - I'm not thinking all that much about it. -
Thanks for all the suggestions on different amps/packs to check out. I'll be doing my first gig with the Kemper in mid July. Can't wait.

If the FCB is too big for you, the Tech 21 Midi Moose would do the job, it offers what you need (5 presets, banks up and down).
Newbie question from a new Kemper fan: Is the idea that you move through performances in performance mode with the banks up/down buttons, and then use the 5 presets to select amongst profiles in each performance position?

Sorry, Parallels here. A little more expensive than Crossover, but Win 7 runs flawlessly here as well as RM.
This is what I want to do, but where do you get a downloadable Win 7 online? I tried a few sites and I'm having a hard time just finding a basic Windows 7 program to download. Thanks

Sounds really nice. I either have to get a Windows machine or Windows emulating software for my Mac.
