+1 on mid gain! Love to take medium gain profile and boosting it! Feels so great to play and is a favourite technique of mine for high gain sounds on the Kemper.
All these profiles are excellent. I would pay for heaps more. -
-
Your profiles are great!
Keep em coming cause I want more!!
haha. -
Well initiating the flash did not work.
Main output > pedal input > pedal output > audio interface works flawlessly.
-10db in amp/cab works.
Kemper FX loop send > External volume pedal > pedal > FX loop return works.
*Scratching my head here*
Those In-line attenuators seems like a good option but In the mean time I think I'm gonna put an external EQ pedal in the loop to drop the volume so I can get these pedals to work.
Wish you can put the FX loop after all the Kemper FX blocks, might help. Seems the FX loop makes external pedals sound pretty dull compared to the - Main output > pedal input > pedal output > audio interface. Could be just my unit.
All I know it's either my pedals or It's my Kemper.
Kemper support seems to think It's the pedals, my countries Kemper distributer wants me to send the unit in. -
Thanks for the knowledge. Putting a volume pedal in the FX loop before and with one of the pedals work.
Support has recommended a full flash init. Going to try that this evening to see if that helps. -
Hmm, I did try an EQ before the loop and subtracting the volume value but didn't help. I'll try a booster now and see, but I might have already tried it, don't remember. Thanks.
In-line attenuator? will possibly look in to that.
Cheers! -
Thanks but the only way I can get my delay pedal to not distort is to -db's from either the amplifier or cabinet section. I've talked to support, ran through a bunch of test and this was the recommended solution. External pedals via FX loop in pre position = no problems. Just in post position I have to minus around 10db in cab section to get these pedals to work.
No other setting/parameter helps with the distorting except with what I've outlined above.
Anyway I'm currently talking to my countries Kemper distributer and they want me to send it in for a looksee.
Kemper support thinks that these pedals are overly sensitive to the send level of the profiler.
Considering that the FX loop in post position is line level, a global way of subtracting -10db in the cabinet section would help. Locking the cabinet module doesn't help because I would be stuck with the same cabinet sound etc...Is there a parameter in the debug menu that can globally do this for me?
Wish I could just lock only the level parameter in the amplifier and/or cabinent section. -
Hi just wondering if the FX Loop is Instrument or Line Level?
Is there some sort of pad switch in the Kemper? (debug menu?)
I need a way to set the FX loop to instrument level (-10db).
Don't really want to edit 900 rigs to subtract -10db in the cabinet section and adjust volume to bring back the level.
Maybe my two pedals are just overly sensitive (signal distorting).Thanks.
-
Wow really?
I'll check mine when I get home
Hope it works for you too! -
Ha! Line frequency in system menu got changed to 60hz, changed it to 50hz & bang, problem fixed!

Let's see what Mothership comes up to
Well support got back to me, suggesting I keep backing off the level in the amplifier or cabinet section until the distortion goes away. Wish there is a better way than editing all my rigs to accommodate these settings (got 800 rigs). I guess the two pedals I tried are overly-sensitive to these things.
Going to possibly try the Way Huge Supa puss in a day or two, to see if that takes well.Anyone out there have/had problems with either the MXR carbon copy or the MXR univibe pedals in the FX loop (post position) ?

So I installed Firmware 3.0.1.10908 Public Beta and I'm getting hum on high gain patches (noise gate on 3.0). Went back to Firmware 3.0.0.10856 and hum is gone. Same settings and everything just different firmware.
Did something change in the settings/config for this symptom to happen in the new beta firmware?
Anyone else have this problem? -
IOW, even with the various volumes close to zero, you hear distortion nevertheless?
Yeah, if I minus 3 or more db in the cabinet section, I can get the delay pedal to a pretty good place. The univibe pedal on the other hand, no helping that. I've held of buying more pedals for now.
FX loop placed before the stack section seem to take well, just not placed afterwards.(EDIT) Actually in the amplifier and/or cabinet section: -3db to -6db for the delay pedal & -12db for the univibe pedals. This is the only workaround I've stumbled upon with getting these pedals to be distortion free with the FX loop (post position).

Thanks for the tip, tried everything really. Support has been taking me through a lot of tests and will hear more from them after the weekend. It will get sorted eventually I'm sure.
Only way I can get the pedal to play nice, is to connect the main output to the pedals input - pedal output to audio interface.Think I've gone through every parameter in the Kemper.

I cant help with your issue..usally it works. But yes we changed prices to euro
Internet explorer acting up again.
Cool thanks! -
Trying to add some of your profile packs into the shopping cart. The total shows up but when I try and click on the cart link I get told that my shopping cart is empty.
???
Also, thought the prices are in USD but there's a euro sign next to each pack.
Can anyone clarify on these?(EDIT) hmm...shopping cart works in Mozilla. Maybe my Internet Explorer is acting up.
-
Ha, didn't take me long to get used to it Still wonder why the change but all good.
-
Since 3.0.0: "changed: Direct Edit is permanent now. While one edit menu is open (e. g. Stomp A) pressing another Module button (e. g. DELAY) will not switch on/off that Module but instantly open its edit menu."
For sure, but in 3.0 you could still activate/deactivate a stomp by holding the button down. Seems that changed in 3.01 beta. Find it curious onto the change of that.

Has anyone else had an issue with the FX loop causing distortion that should not be there?
Currently talking to Kemper support but was wondering if anyone else had problems with the FX loop and what was the outcome? did you have to send it away for repair? How did it get sorted etc...
