First of all, thanks for your great compliment Frank !!
I think the first thing I'll have to do is to make a couple of sound samples played with a Les Paul or ES 335...
.
And yes, maybe I'm gonna make some profiles with my Valley arts (EMG HB,SC,SC) or a guitar loaded with HB's.
I would love patches dialled for those 3 you mention (LP, 335 especially and EMGs). That would be a cherry on top for this current batch which is a very useful set as it stands. -
I like the Spring C patch - saved it (and a similar patch with Spring B) with the clean Champ patch from Tonehawk. Both are very useable verb FX - just add as much verb and delay as needed. Thanks for these.

Thanks a lot for these - right in my wheelhouse.

Interesting demo - I'll have to check out that Victory patch - sounds very nice there and right up there with those classic amps.

But you have to admit that these effect boxes are extremely limited, you might even want to say they're crippled, because they don't have amp models, drives, good Graphic or studio equalizers etc.
Of course you are correct. I don't suggest these as substitutes for the KPA - just as examples of some of the other DSP based FX programming around the traps. I would much prefer to keep the whole shebang in one box and in one patch - ie would prefer not to use FX boxes in the FX loop. -
Check out some demos for Strymon Mobius and Timeline stomps. The range of modulation and delay effects is pretty broad - even just the variety of trem effects is quite impressive. I don't mind the FX on the KPA - and use them a lot but there is definitely some scope to develop them further.
If the KPA eventually gets a proper computer based editor there are some interesting possibilities. You could have dedicated GUIs for individual FX - just like we use for VST or AU plugins in DAWs. So, instead of paging through 12 pages of parameters as we do on the KPA you could have a large well designed GUI for delays or verbs with the various models (eg room, spring, plate etc) and parameters all in one easily viewable display. You might be able to switch models and retain your basic parameters - eg reverb time etc.
This last is possibly a stretch but, given that GUIs like these and DSP code have been developed by many plugin developers already, perhaps they could be adapted to the KPA. ie some third party involvement/licensing of algorithms so that not all of is has to be done in house. Of course, if CK and the guys can do it better there is no need. Coding for Intel processors is obviously not going to be instantly translatable to DSP chips either.

+1 on more speaker options being the preferred route (as per the mini pack Marshall).
I really value the different characters that the various cabs offer and much prefer the diversity that comes with using the matching cabs with each head/combo.

Those EMGs are over-wound per Luke's specs according to the EMG site. So, a bit hotter than vanilla SA/85s.

I was so impressed by the playing and tone on the Champ section of the video I snapped these up - no-brainer at this price. I am loving the clean patches especially - the Champ is amazing with a strat or LP and the FTR 37 is really nice too. As you can hear in the demo, the Champ has loads of bottom end for an 8" driver and lovely crisp upper mids/highs. I have locked the Champ clean patch in as a cab on the KPA and have run all kinds of other fender style profiles through it and it absolutely kills with single coils . Kudos to Lance for this well put together set and the very tasteful demo.

Thanks also for sharing your profiling tips and studio setup. I'm sure many of us will have gone to school on what you shared and will make better profiles themselves in future.

Thanks.

That last periscope link has expired already. Any chance of putting these on Youtube?

Really liking these profiles - 800 set is terrific with an LP and the BSA,Cornell and WEM are all much appreciated. Thanks for sharing them.

Thanks - that was a blast. Great playing and tones indeed.

Thanks for these Andy.
Just a heads up - I just tried to reload your forum page discussing these and got an "this has been flagged as an attack page" warning. Could be some gremlins on your server at the moment.

These really kick some with the MBritt cab - very nice profiles. Thank you so much.
