Trouble is, if I have three, I'd need another three in case I somehow broke the first three! It could get out of control very quickly.
and then where would I be?

I could have bought 20 and still come in a long way under that budget!

Just to chip in,
I was talking to a friend about the kemper recently and came to the conclusion that if I was still in my band from 20 years ago I would be using two kempers with sounds that compliment each other for a richer sound.
that's not to say that the kemper doesn't sound fantastic. Just that in that particular band I ran 6 different heads, a huge rack of processors and a switching system that cost more than a nice car!
Two rack mounted kempers seems like a huge step forward compared to that bunch of nonsense -
Hellg can obviously type faster than me
-
I'm not with my Kemper right now, but if I remember rightly, once the stomp in question is in focus, use the type nob to scroll all the way to the blank space at the beginning of the options.
hope I'm remembering this right. Someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm not. -
Very good idea.

I hear what you're saying Frank. But a five minute video would take quite a lot more than five minutes to put together. I'm not making excuses for them, and I agree that in general that it would be a great idea to make videos to show us how to use new features as they come along. I just think that now might not be the ideal time.
doesn't hurt to ask though. -
Also, I think the mother ship is a bit busy at the moment!

Wow, That looks very nice! I'm a Neve junky though, so I would say that.

You'd think so wouldn't you?
Some good video tutorials would certainly be helpful. Don't think I need to see any more metal clips, they seem to be pretty well covered -
How about making folders in rig manager for each of your preferences?
-
The mbritt dpack would be perfect for what you're after.
just my opinion, but it is bloody awesome! -
As smfelton said, the KRK 8400 seem to be a good choice. They get good reviews for being quite flat.

Welcome.
sounds like you've had a busy few weeks ☺ -

Hullo, you won't need the powered version if you want to use headphones. The power amp is only for powering a guitar speaker cabinet. If you get the head version of the kemper ( the one that looks like a toaster ) you can add an aftermarket power amp later on if your needs change.
regarding headphones,
there is a thread already active about what headphones work well. I can't remember under what heading though. Try the search function. Sorry I can't be more helpful. -
No problem.

You can download rig manager and download free profile packs before you get your Kemper. You just need to create an account on the main site. This can be updated to an owners account when you get your device.

I think it also offers the option to "replace" to the left of save as.

I don't know if most of this list counts as some of it was actually analogue gear.
I think of it all in the same vain as it was a means of plugging my guitar directly into my recording equipment or foh desk.
started in the early 80's with the "Tom Scholts Rockman" then had an ADA MP-1. Then had a Sansamp psa-1 then a pod (thought that was poo) then a Marshall jmp-1 then a few software jobs (okay in some cases but rarely a substitute for the real thing. Then finally the Kemper. Had lots of valve amps throughout for touring and studio, including monster Bradshaw racks that could now be replaced by one green toaster
in my opinion, the only two great innovations on that list are the Rock man and the Kemper!
