Hi all,
I loaded the Kemper with a file called "MAB SPACE VERB - 2014-11-20 22-18-07.kipr"
I got this from a thread on the forum in a zip file
When I scroll thru the reverb presets on the Kemper its not showing there.
I have scrolled thru every preset area (reverb, stomps, delays, mod and x) and cant see it anywhere.
If I put the file on a USB stick and try to load it into the Kemper and it says its already there
I have loaded other files from these reverb/delay presets and none of them seem to appear in the Kemper preset listings
Is there another way to find preset files on the Kemper?

lots of suggestions here
Audio Interface Recommendations? -
Have had my Kemper about 1 month and wasn't overly impressed with the factory rigs
Decided to buy Micheal's packs 1, 2 and 3
They have totally transformed the Kemper into an outstanding piece of kit.
If your reading this thread thinking about getting some commercially available profiles I can thoroughly recommend anything that Mr Britt provides
Thanks Micheal for the excellent work
Cheers -
Im setting it at 8.1
Sounds great to me -
have discovered the Mad Professor amp via 2 profiles on RE by Tomi JR
Right up there with the Morgan AC20 in my view -
Since updating to the latest firmware Im finding that when I go thru the export rig procedure onto a USB stick attached to the Kemper it does not always download the rig
It will say rig downloaded and everything on the Kemper display looks successfully completed but sometime no rigs get exported to the USB and other times maybe 2 out of 3 get exported
Anyone noticed this also?
cheers -
thanks for the responses

Hi all,
I have been reading the Reference manual and came across these 3 features.
Im not sure what I would use them for but I was curious to learn if anyone else was using any of these functions and how/why
cheers -
Did a backup before and after the new firmware and the backup files size has increase by 3x or so (was 2mb now about 6.9mb)
anyone else notice this?Im also now getting a few "not enough space" errors when backing up, if there is any other Kemper files such as rigs etc on the USB drive (even though there's plenty of free space)

Hi all,
just an update on my Kemper front input issue.
Unit went back to the distributor, turns out it was an unseated/improperly seated internal connector that was the issue.
The distributor has had a couple of these come in to them (not just me) with this issue apparently
Kemper back and working well
Firmware updated, rig manager working, all is right with the world, bought some MBritt rigs to load up as well.
now, to plow thru 400 rigs and cull......thanks for all the input and suggestions
cheers -
HI sambrox
"I can confirm that TRS - XLR cables from the 1/4" jack sockets of the main outputs work perfectly fine"
Ive been doing this for years with other equipment with no issue, cant help bad luck I guess...

just heard from Kemper support
they asked me to do a Recovery and Init/Factory Rigs flash
did it, no luck. what a bummerAfter 1 day in use, Kemper on its way back to the retailer:(

thanks mate
and thanks to everyone that has tried to help me
ill keep this thread updated with a fix (hopefully) in case it happens to someone else

Hi Kempermaniac
I think the true test is when i disconnect the monitors completely from the unit and use headphones:
if i change the input in the software to alternate, run the guitar cable into the alternate input - i get the sound of the rig
if i change the input in the software to front, insert a guitar cable in the front input - i get no sound from the rig
I think the issue is a dead input jack at the front or maybe something deeper in the memory of the unit that is not registering correctly
cheers -
Thanks paults,
yes ill wait until Kemper support come back to me before doing anything else to the unit.
The frustration is that these things are pretty rare in Australia, the retailer I bought from only had a head and a rack and thats all.
BTW - my units build date is December 2014 (I bought it new yesterday) so they dont sell many here.Im in Sydney a city of about 4 million people and we have 2 retailers of Kemper equipment, thats it.
The distributor is in Melbourne 600 miles away.
Aussies are very poorly served when it comes to music gear

Im wondering if a flash memory restore of the device would help as per this wiki entry
http://www.wikpa.org/Troubleshooting#Emergency_Procedures
anyone done this?

Hi Zapman,
correct - unless im missing some other part to the puzzle, its the input jack at the front that is the issue not the cabling (imho)
cheers -
Hi Monkey man
"It sounds to me as if you dismissed the connector "mismatch", in your mind at least, as being a possible cause of your issue, Joe."
somewhere along this thread this has gotten misunderstood.
Im using a standard guitar cable into the input of the Kemper. The monitor speakers I use have only a XLR connector. I was using a IK stealthpedal to connect to the monitors and play thru Amplitube. The Stealth pedal only has 1/4 outputs . So i needed a 1/4 to xlr connecting cable to make it work.
Regardless of the cables connecting the speakers, if i just use the headphone jack (no speakers connected) i dont get sound thru the front input jack but do thru the alternate jack (using a standard guitar cable) so its the input jack at the front that is the issue not the connections between the Kemper and the speakers
cheers -
HI dougc84
Im using a standard guitar cable for input to the Kemper
The TRS cable is the cable between the speakers and the amp.
XLR one end TRS the other.
