the BX20 was a large studio reverb that was designed to just be good 'generic' or "neutral" sounding reverb.AKG was trying to compete with EMT plates. It was purposely made to NOT sound identifiably "like a spring".
MOST people's idea of 'spring reverb' as it relates to guitars is more to do with the little tanks in guitar amps that were anything but neutral.
Thanks for the correction, I had no idea. I'm just an amateur bedroom guitar player. I do own a vintage Twin reverb from the late sixties, love the reverb tank.
I agree, the drip just feels too artificial in the FRV-1 and the tone is way too bright, but it’s still better than some of the so-called spring reverb pedals out there (chorus modulation in the tail? Oh, come on!!!).
The Flint nails the reverb, but doesn’t have much drip. The Topanga the same (though it sounds more trashy than a real Fender tank, though I like that about it). The Super Spring Theory by Subdecay sounds good, though the drip is a bit too slap echo-sounding. For me, the Kemper spring blows them all away.
Sam, I need to try the profile you posted yesterday. Not much time at the moment. I'm a big fan of the Universal Audio AKG bx20 spring reverb. Just sublime reverb. I prefer it to the Kemper... for now. As I said, I need to test the Kemper reverb a bit more.

I think this is how I did it (not entirely sure but worth a try):
- record your DI track first.
Once the DI recording is done, do as follow: 1. Connect the Duet Output 1 to the Kemper Return Input (with a TS instrument cable) 2. In logic, you need two tracks. . Track01 will have the recorded DI. . Track02 need to have Output1 (Duet Output 1) as the input (This is the critical part!!). Arm this track for recording. 3. In the Kemper, press the Input hard button (top left of the unit). Set the Input Source to "return Input Reamp". Start with a value of Reamp Sense=0. 4. Hit record and that should work hopefully.
I managed to make it work, but it was a pain. I decided to get a new interface with spdif, much easier. I don't have the Duet anymore so I can't try, but I'll check to see if I kept some notes somewhere.

I suggest, you test out latest 5.4.1 Release. Then open a support ticket and send a backup with instructions how to reproduce the issue most hopefully. I'm afraid this might be a hardware issue.
Updating now, will see if the freeze still occurs. Fingers crossed...
Resurrecting an old thread. Another freeze, this time not connected to rig manager (computer was in sleep mode), and while browsing rigs in browser mode. Don't think it's a corrupt rig, since I haven't added new rigs in my Kemper for at least a week (last ones added were a couple rigs from Bert's latest pack).
@breu. I got it working. I had to click on Update, after putting in my info, prior to Place Order being active. I thought that button was related to the VAT field, but I was mistaken. Thanks for all the help.
Same here, I had to click on "update" before I could actually use the "order" button.
@breu, is there supposed to be VAT tax on this, if I am purchasing from the USA? I'm buying it either way, but I just wanted to make sure everything was right. Thanks
I noticed the same (purchased from NZ). Used to have no VAT applied when I purchased the previous packs from Bert. This time is different, VAT is applied. Not sure if it's because of the new website, or if it's a change in Paypal terms and conditions.
