I haven't tried all of your profiles, but your "sweet" profile with a greenback cabinet from MBritt's 69 Marshall is fantastic! I prefer it over the Top Jimi pack I purchased.
Agree!
Which cab are you liking? I really dug it with the cab from the cleanest profile.
So I've been clearing stuff I haven't used off of my KPA tonight as I have so many profiles on there that just sit dormant. I currently have 47 performances and about 500 profiles loaded on there. I'm guessing the amount of performances isn't a problem - that's less than 150 profiles actually in use, but how about the other 350 profiles just sitting on there un-used? I've noticed the KPA slowing up in the past when I had about 1,000 profiles on there so I trimmed it down, but wondering if I shouldn't just load up what I'm using and keep the rest on my laptop?
Is really using the EQ section. I always found profiles I liked, and just kinda kept them *mostly* as is, with a few little tweaks here and there, but I've radically EQ'd a few profiles today and had pretty pleasing results. I always had this kinda mental thing that I was gonna make it sound more fake the more I EQ'd it but it's actually yielded some pretty great results. How ridiculous is it that I only just started doing that 15 months later?
I was also messing quite a bit with Definition and Clarity parameters. Anything else I should really play with to potentially tweak more to my liking?
Wow, these are awesome, thanks man! So much stuff to dive into here, but I ended up really messing with the Suhr PT100 profiles today. I made some pretty heavy EQ adjustments to suit me a little more, and I think it sounds pretty sweet. See what you guys think - https://www.dropbox.com/s/psa6…8-14%2011-37-13.kipr?dl=0
Also, George, how come the cabs on the Ch2 and 3 profiles sound so different? Ch3's cab sounds quite a lot darker. I've never profiled anything myself before so is that all in the algorithm the Kemper is using to split the head and cab up? I presume mic and mic positions were the same? I ended up swapping the Ch3 cab for the one on the Ch2# profile and prefer it - seems a little more stringy, if that makes sense.
There won't be a consensus on one "definitive" tone, because each guitar sounds different, and there are so many styles of music that use different sounds with the same amps.
Speaking of the amps:
Vox Ac30?
Which Marshall?
Which Fender?

Yeah, AC30, or AC15. Marshall, JMPs, Superlead, Superbass and 800s, and Fender Twins, Deluxe Reverbs.
I attached all 72 profiles in the ZIP file. You can download the file from my post. I hope George doesn't mind, if he does, I'll take it down and I apologize in advance.
Just can't quite get the vowelly midrange thing he has going on but that might be his pickups. I'm using Duncan Antiquities in a Les Paul so maybe it's that.
I'm not desperate to find this tone by the way, I just find it interesting how tweakable the Kemper is and I have nothing else on today! Haha!

I basically copied the setting in the performances section of Rig Manager and hit copy and paste and this was what ended up on my desktop. Is that how I export a profile? If I did it correctly, and it saved my settings, then it's in here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/y6wyakoqcdtefb0/BE100 SS Tone.kipr?dl=0
Can somebody explain to me exactly what's going on there?
I have all of the Tim Owens BrownEye and Dirty Shirley profiles and to me there is a difference between Studio and Merged. I run in-ears 80% of the time, and the rest of the time I have a 1x12 on stage but I always just send the full profile to FOH, never mic the cab. Studio is probably what I should be using, right?
Firstly, these sound amazing but I have a few questions, so let me get this straight... #53 is the BE, HBE and Dirty Shirley, whereas #54 is purely the HBE right? #55 is the same as that but with a V30.
Also, am I right in thinking the M and S profiles are identical apart from the cab thing discussed earlier? I often run direct and use IEMs but on some gigs I use a cab - would I be best using the merged profile always? It sounds the same as the studio, right?
