I snagged the JTM. Sounds so good
Pleasantly surprised that the profiles sound pretty damn close to the preview clips.
I did have to roll off some treble from the higher gain profiles but thats pretty much it.Cheers !

Ffaik turning on headphone space disables the space effect from the main outs and enables it just on the headphone output.. But it seems to introduce some sort of high frequency reflections or "crackle" on the headphone output when it is enabled.

I've had Rigmanager crash a few days ago and the same happened. The kemper still produced sounds but no buttons responded until I turned it off and back on again

I was playing with the chorus and univibe earlier on and was thinking the same thing
Welcome !

Thanks for the heads up.

Greetings Michael,
Do you have any plans to profile the Toneking Imperial ?
Its hard to find profiles of Toneking amps for some reason..Cheers

I did earlier thinking it'd go away but the bug is still there.
If i turn on headphone space the high frequency rattle is there. Once I turn it off it disappears. It doesn't always happen though, even on the same profile.I'll try recreating it later and recording it...
Cheers -
I don't see where the hype is at. The cleans are still passable, and the overdrive is still terrible

Greetings Andy,
Can you please upload the singles sooner than later ?
I'd love to play some of these new profiles but I can't justify buying the whole pack. -
Did u try adjusting the Low shift parameter in the cab section ?
While not a fix this might help you lose some of the flub -
Welcome !

I was about to create a thread for this..
I experienced this yesterday evening with the "headphone space" option enabled.
At first I didn't realize it was the space. I was just playing and during vibrato I would hear this rattle as if some high frequency was bouncing off the walls.
At first I thought it'd be the Pure Cab doing this, but after turning off headphone space it disappeared.
Whats strange is while Space itself is engaged but not "headphone space", which I assume disables Space from non-headphone output, I don't get this rattle.
As soon as I switched off headphone space the rattle disappeared, without me changing the value of the Space parameter itself. So I can, atleast in my case, rule out any hardware glitch or anything wrong with headphone port or the headphones themselves.
I cannot seem to recreate this right now...PS: I am on the latest firmware.
PS2: Shouldn't this thread be in the issues subforum ? -
Welcome !
I've only been using the kpa for around two weeks and my mind continues to be blown daily.
As a fellow beginner the best advice I can give you is to not tweak much and try to find a profile that sounds good for your guitar/hands from the get go.
I would download the free packs from different commercial profilers and see which suits you most. Every author seems to have his "flavor" (mic techniques..) and for the most part once you find one profile that sounds great for you chances are other profiles from the same author will more or less also work out for youSince you are using powered I'd go with Merged/DI profiles with cab off.
Enjoy !!!

Welcome
Congrats on buying what might be your last amp.

Don't forget you can always EQ the headphone output if you think your "flat" headphones need some more oomph in some frequencies (usually its the bass they are lacking..)
-
These are interesting (but pricey). I suspect that the underwound would have the tone I was after. Let us know which you get and whether you like themWill most probably be their convertible set.. I've seen some demos of it on youtube and it seems to do the single coil sounds very well and when you switch it to humbucker mode it has those classic PAF sounds..
If I do pull the trigger I'll post back. -
Sad to hear.. Your sound clips played a big part in my buying the Kemper....

I'm surprised no one mentioned Zexcoil pickups yet.
They are unique pickups that use 6 individual coils wrapped around diagonally aligned polepieces to achieve a noiseless configuration without any tone loss.

Only hear good things about them.. I'm pondering which set to buy from them..
