Are the Kabinets still slated to be available before end of March?
I only asked them about the Kones, and they said they would not be available to order until May...
-
Official info says, it is expected to be available until end of March 2020.
I inquired if the kones were available for pre-order and this was their response...
Quote from Kemper Support@ Kemper Amps Support
Dear Duane.flowers,
thank you for your email and for your interest in our product.
Unfortunately, we don't offer a pre-order at the cone.
We will release the product in may this year.
Sincerely
Peter
With best regards,

Looking forward to buying one of these. Hope they are available soon! The price seems great
Kones will be available to order in May...
-
Option(s) are nice...
-
This is for bass guitar ?
No, its for guitar... 2 cones, 1 cab...
-
Since the Cone won't be available to order until May there is still plenty of time to check options and find the perfect solution. I'm leaning toward the Camplifier myself atm, but would prefer something in the 350-400 watt range as I hope to drive 2 cones...

Episode 2 has finally resurfaced... rebranded though, which explains the delay...

Can't wat t try a powered Kabinet when they become available
me too... I'm highly confident that CK & the gang might create some special Kemper magic for them based on current knowledge/capabilities that isn't found elsewhere...
-
They will be available at our online store of course! Will be listed when available.
The Kone will be available on our store only.
The Kone is a modification of the K12H-200, where we have redesigned the inner wizzer cone down to a smaller size, to achieve a different dispersion pattern for the high frequencies.
The Kone / Kabinet and the adjaced digital part in the Profiler perfectly match. You cannot run another speaker (including the K12H-200) with it, as it would result in a reasonably different frequency responce.
Thanks CK!!! You rock!!!

I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to amplification so please bear with me.
What do you mean with "match the Kone Specs"? Would there be anything inherently not compatible or sub-optimal in the camplifiers?
I meant that since the Kone is rated at 200 watts, having a 200 watt camplifier would be perfect, or a 400 watt one for driving 2 speakers alll while keeping with the 4 ohm specs, which is most optimal for guitar amps.
I somewhere read in the past (ages ago) that the EHX tends to distort on values past noon.
I have a Magnum 44 and this is true, it is also not the cleanest amp so I wouldn't really want to use it with a Kone (or Celestion K12H-200TC which seems to be exactly the same thing.)
-
I was looking at the Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 and 75w Hotone Loudster and have also contacted the Camplifier guys to see if they have anything in the works to match Kone specs (they have nothing new planned but all of their models will push the Kone nicely).
-
Two questions... when will they be available to (pre)order through the Kemper store and besides the Kemper logo and 4Ω impedance, are there any other differences between the Kemper Kone and the Celestion K12H-200TC?
Thanks!!!

A new favorite to add to the YouTube list... HW and Mbritt did a great job on the first episode and I'm looking forward to many more... thanks guys!!!

That might've been the acoustic simulator Danish Pete opened the video with. It sounded quite acoustic... ish...

If Kemper doesn't release a powered version soon I'm sure it won't be long before one of the usual suspects creates a powered 'ready for Kone' cab... and with the availability of pedals such as the Electro-Harmonix 44 Magnum and Orange Terror Stamp the pedal route is another relatively painless way to go. Either way, 2020 should prove quite interesting...
