Bullett, you will receive a letter from my lawyer soon. I wrecked my pinkie trying to play that!

Hahaha, dude that cracked me up! :D

It's a killer, I remember when I first started using the stacked 5th chords or add 9s it was a nightmare. I was shown a rolling technique that I sometimes use if I have to play 'Every breath you take' by The Police where you use your first finger twice. I'll perhaps make a video on that at some point!

Good job! Very useful for practising guitar AND tweaking the Kemper to our old vintage sounds...
Next time catch your mic and do the vocals too on "message in a bottle".
    Then it would be perfect.
    Thank you for sharing!

I'm a huge fan of old vintage like tones. Some of my recent work has been performing for tours or bands that play 1950's/60's and 80's music. One individual that creates and sells kemper profiles reached out to me and sent me his vintage pack which I shall be doing a video on soon!

Haha, I'm not much of a singer unless it's backing vocals. I may push myself on day but the focus on this series is to nail that guitar sound for you guys!

Thanks for watching and giving me feedback!

Wow, Message in a bottle is quite close! Thanx for that...

Haha thanks SpinnerDeluxe, you've just brought a massive smile to my face. I'm glad you liked it! Coming up in the series is 'I want it all' by Queen, 'Land of Confusion' by Genesis and 'Hysteria' by Muse!

Nice work. I'll be watching these!

Thanks buddy! Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions let me know! Thanks again!

    Hey everyone! :)

I've been trying to expand the community on my YouTube channel with it's focus on the Kemper Profiling Amplifier, other music education (interviews and tuition) and other gear demonstrations. It's only just dawned on me that perhaps here is the place! (Duh Ben). I'm a professional musician based in the UK and have used my kemper for a variety high end tours both on guitar and bass, as well as recording. I have two Kemper series that I think you may enjoy but am always looking for feedback and suggestions from you guys! I'm always interested in meeting more of you!

The first focuses on demonstrating some of my favourite profiles for clean, mid gain and high gain. There are two bass videos coming out in the series over the next week where a professional bassist performances a song and then sits down for an interview to explain how he set up the kemper and his approach to bass.

The second is a series that is dedicated to helping you achieve the tone from some of our favourite guitar records! The first episode went live today and looks at The Police - Andy Summer's tone on 'Message In A Bottle'

For my overall channel you can find it by searching 'Benjamin Bullett Mortlock'. If you like what you see, please subscribe, like and share as I'm really trying to help grow this community of musicians and especially guitarists!

Cheers guys, I look forward to meeting you!

    Bullett.

Hi guys, can anyone help me understand the output section of the kemper? Urgently trying to understand/rectify the kemper in time for tour rehearsals tomorrow morning.

Today I used my kemper is a studio to track and took both the amplifier/cab emulation signal and the DI signal but in order to do so, something in the output section was changed.

Now when I run my kemper into my cab to practise in time for tour rehearsals tomorrow, there is nothing coming out but the dry DI signal, unaffected by any emulation.

So if I am to DI my signal out to the stage tomorrow, it seems as now I'm not going to have any of the emulation I've already set up for the tour?

I need it so that I can have a signal running into my cab on stage where the cabinet emulation will be off and then a DI signal to the FOH where the cab emulation will be on.

Thanks guys, I appreciate this. I didn't know how helpful this forum could be, in the past I didn't find people's responses to be very useful. Then having recently posted about these issues in other guitar forums, it really was just aggravating the amount of 'I don't have that problem with an ordinary amp' responses I'd get, not actually helping resolve issues.

I guess it's such a big unit and it's difficult to balance going through every little detail of it to set it up, with the work I do.

    Hi everyone,

I'm a professional guitarist and bassist touring and working, who has had a Kemper for a few months now. I have used it at home in the browser mode to play with for fun but have struggled continuously to get it to work in performance mode. Because of this I have held back from using it in my professional work which is really annoying me now because I got it to make things easier. I work in theatre, as well as with various of artists in different styles. I don't have a kemper remote and so bought the Behringer FCB1010 and then the un0 chip as that was recommended to me on here and installed it.

I've got my next two month tour coming up in May for which I am supposed to be preparing for while currently still gigging with other artists. Instead, I'm spending so much time trying to get this kemper unit to work, change patches and not do anything funny. It really is just becoming nearly useless until I can sort it out.

    The problems I'm having:

The FCB1010 was pretty much impossible to use before I installed the chip, now it does work but I still don't know how to assign things from the FX loop section in my kemper (delay for example).

Currently now it does change to the rigs that I have put into a performance mode, however if I tweak the EQ on the fly like an ordinary amp, flick to another rig for my lead sound and back again. The EQ on the sound I was originally using resets.

I'm running it into cabinets but cannot seem to permanently turn the cabinet emulation off. Every time I click back to another rig, the cabinet emulation comes on. This goes for any rigs I switch to with the midi board. I've seen multiple artists explain that it is possible to send an emulation out to the front of house, while your cab behind you is still used. When I'm not using my in ears for shows, I would like this to be possible.

I want to set it up so that the performances I configure for the theatre tours I do, the artists I play for, are there permanently. I have good friends that use Kemper units on tour with major pop artists and I assume kemper seems to support them but due to us not being in one place at the same time, I'm unable to meet with them for them to help. Is there anyway that someone from Kemper can directly help me?

I have read through the reference manual so many times but still seem to struggle with setting this unit up.

    Thanks,
    Ben Bullett Mortlock.

How do I get the Beringher FCB1010 to work with my kemper?

I've got a lot of important work coming up and I can't seem to program my damn kemper to my midi board. This guys tutorial hasn't helped much as its just not working.
