Just a question about connectors. I just looked at the Amplifire manual (LINK) and I am not sure what cables I need to connect to to the two KRK RP6 RoKot G3. Any ideas? Do I need to go into the balanced or unbalanced input?

I don't know either of them personally, so try before you buy.
Are there any monitors in that price range (300 Euros) that you can recommend ?

I think Amplifire + studio monitors will sound much better than the THR10C.That is very nice to hear :). Do you think I should go with two M-Audio BX8 D2 or two KRK RP6 RoKit G3. The KRK are 100 Euros more. Do you think it will make a big difference?

the Profiler sounds like a guitar being tracked in the studio. You hear the amp&cab over the studio's monitors.
An amp in the room is something else. This has been discussed numerous times. If you want 'amp in the room', play with disabled Cabinet section over a guitar cabinet (using a poweramp).
I have been using a THR10C until now. I really like the sound of it. If the studio monitors+amplifire sounds similar to that I am really happy.

If the cabs are passive you'll need a power amp. This might be the one included in a powered Kemper, or an external one which feed the Profilere's output in.
You made mention of an amp, I assume it's a guitar amp. If this is the case, you can use its Return socket (if any?) to send the Profiler's signal into.
A linear system (like studio monitors) and a guitar system (your amp) will sound rather different from each other.
If I were you, I'd buy a passive Profiler and start using my amp.then I'd explore some very good studio monitors if you are not fully satisfied of using your amp.
Keep in mind that a guitar cab will unavoidably impart a strong sonic signature to all the rigs\patches, while a good linear system will let you hear any nuances of each rig\profile. I'd mention here that many pro-level players are perfectly ok with using a guitar cabHTH
I already sold the amp and I bought a Amplifire (didn't have enough money for a Kemper ). I am planing on getting two KRK RP6 RoKit G3 near-field monitors for my living room. What do you think? Will they be sufficient for living room use?

Yeah, why not? I have a pair of Yamaha HS 80's at home and they sound great.
I have never played a modeling amp through studio monitors so I still can't quite believe that it will sound good (or as good as having and amp in my living room).

Depends what you want really. I use old Mackie HR624s and they sound fine through my Motu 4pre and logic. But whether they translate well to an Atomic Amplifier for tweaking purposes at low volumes, I doubt.
As everyone will say: tweak at the volume you will be playing at on the Atomic.
But the Mackies are fine in the house. As is the dxr10 at low volumes, but again the tweaked rig will sound different at gig volume.
I wont be playing live so thats not an issue. All I want is a couple (or one) nice sounding monitors that will sound better or as good as my yamaha thr 10 speaker at low/medium volumes. The only reason I switched to the Amplifire is because I wanted more presets and more variety.
Stereo is definitely more fun.
Many decent studio monitors or bigger monitors like the aforementioned Yamaha DXR 10's will do a great job.So you are saying for my puproses the M-Audio BX8 D2 or KRK RP6 RoKit G3 Bundle will sound just as good as a DXR10?

Welcome qumega,
if those Logitech speakers are active (can you switch them on\off?) they will work. The quality of the sound you'll get will depend on their own quality.
Think of the Kemper like any CD player
No they are not active. I was just browsing some other threads and I still don't know if I should get one or two monitors. If I am just playing close to the monitors in my living room, are a pair of KRK RP6 RoKit G3 or M-Audio BX8 D2 good enough?
-
Hi, for monitoring the Amplifire the same criteria apply as for monitoring the Profiler.
I suggest you look up the numerous threads dealing with this topic.Yeah I looked through some of them and they seem to always suggest one monitor only. Why is that? My living room is pretty small (25m²), is something like two M-Audio BX8 D2 good enough or do I need two Dx10r monitors for it to sound good?

Hi.
Shouldn't you be asking this question in the Atomic forum? <img src="http://www.kemper-amps.com/forum/wcf/images/smilies/wink.png" alt=";)" />
Good one

Hi,
I hope this question has not been asked yet (if yes please let me know).
I just purchased an Atomic Amplifire and I want to get some speakers/monitors for my living room. My budget is around 300 Euros and I will be playing at low to moderate volume levels. Is there anything you can recommend? Should I be getting two monitors or is one enough?
Thanks in advance

I already have Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones that I really like. I will browse the forum for some active speakers. Thanks for your help.

Thanks! So if I want to play loud or play for my girlfriend/friends/family I need an active cabinet? Can I just plug the avtive cab into the Kemper? How much would an active cab cost me?

Hello,
I am planning on getting a Kemper sometime in the near future and I have a few questions that you can maybe answer. Is it possible to plug the Kemper into my Logitech speakers or just plug headphones directly into the amp? Would it be better to get the powered version or the non-powered version? How many additional pieces of equipment do I need to purchase to be able to play through a speaker? Does the Kemper sound good at low levels or should I stay away form it if I just want it for bedroom/living room use?
Thanks in advance.
