Mine is set to S/Pdif source as well (so set to Kemper master / Scarlett slave)... still pops every now and then.
But it's not the Kemper. It's the Scarlett for some strange unknown reason.

I also have problems with the Focusrite Scarlett 2nd gen 18i8 using S/PDif, even though a have a fast machine with plenty of RAM and everthing (OS, drivers, BIOS etc.) up-to-date.
-
Ok, then in my case it this kind of reset does not work. I still get occasional pops
-
The Scarlett (USB) interfaces sometimes loose sync while still showing Sync Source S/PDIF. Need to reset it to Internal and then back to S/PDIF.

Thanks Martin!
Is there a hard reset on the device I'm missing? Mine seems to have trouble almost always... but I've learned to live with it. -
It might be the Focusrite. I know my 18i8 Generation 2 has constant USB hickups.
I tested it with my Kemper, a Pod XT, X3, J-Station and a few more of those. It produces strange pops every now and then (even when set to slave).
I first thought it was my Kemper but after testing more units, it had issues with all devices I tested - so it must be the Focusrite.
Even though I'm running a relatively strong machine with all updated drivers and plenty of RAM and 64-Bit WIndows 10 Pro.
Go figure... -
I use this one and it carries the KPA, Remote + ExpPedal:
Gator Bass Drum Pedal Bag GP66
https://m.thomann.de/de/gator_bass_drum_pedal_bag_gp66.htmGot some cheap acoustic absorber material to separate the KPA and the Remote. The ExpPedal fits in the top-Part of the bag.
I am no permanent gigging Player but it fits for me. If you are touring you should use a more reliable Solution.
Just mind - it is your Kemper and it's a hard time when it is gone to get repaired ...Awesome laddie! Many thanks!
Does this bag have compartments inside? -
Please watch this video to learn how to set the clean sens in an optimal way.

Is there a one small(ish) bag fits all 3 Kemper devices kind of bag?
An all-in-one solution? -
I'd love to know this too.
I need a bag to safely transport the toaster, remote and Mission pedal and preferably strap around my shoulder.
Anyone have an alternative to the Kemper bag? (the Kemper bag sadly has those breaking strap issues) -
what would you expect?
[EDIT]Nevermind,[EDIT]in the other case, you gave a free DI box - which seemed appropriate and very nicely handled to me.
I think the least I would offer is to take the bag back on my shipping expense plus replace it and offer a free check-up of his profiler... I would also make sure with the manufacturer of that bag that this won't happen to others. It's the official Kemper bag after all... -
"My colleague has replied.
"It is very unfortunate that the bag that you bought is having this issue and we apologise for the inconveniences.
Although the chance that this happens is very small, we cannot guarantee that it will not happen.
In such a case the broken bag has to be send to us so we can return it to the manufacturer.
You will then receive a replacement."I don't know about you lads, but I'm a bit disappointed if that is indeed their response to this. That's not what I call good customer support.
It's their "official" bag after all.
I could close my shop if I gave replies like this to my customers... -
Ah thank you G String...
I guess I should know better than to trust any random lads insights! -
I was just about to buy the bag for my profiler plus soon-to-come remote plus Mission pedal.
Oh lord, now I'm not to sure... is the shoulder strap safe now or not? (I have weak hands these days and was hoping to lug it around my shoulder)Is it officially *not safe* now to get the Kemper bag for the un-powered toaster plus remote to carry using the shoulder strap?

It appears that this lad on the TGP board has some kind of priviledged info?

https://www.thegearpage.net/bo…8935/page-3#post-23450830I don't know how accurate that board it however. Just discovered it recently.

That's what I reckon as well.
-
Interesting... I wonder if these sound good though...
-
Yes. CK at last year's NAMM. They WILL come - he was working on them personally.
Is that really confirmed? Because from reading the reports of this years NAMM, it did not seem to me that this is any longer on the radar.
I certainly hope the lads will update the reverbs, as I'm a reverb junkie! -
Great to hear about Kemper lads doing an editor.
Anyone got to ask them about also redoing the reverbs?
-
Thank you lads. Will look into those. I take it some basic MIDI programming will be required then?
On a sidenote, can I use the FX loop of the JMP-1 to insert a delay pedal or should that be placed after the JMP-1?
-
Over the weekend, I dug out my old JMP-1 rack that I had forgotten about and fooled around with it. Rediscovered some cool heavy rock tones in that unit, if you combine it with a good power amp and cabinet.
And thought about bringing it along as a backup unit.
Do you kind lads happen to know if there ever was an official foot controller? Or is there anything to recommend for the JMP-1?
I would just need a basic patch changing foot controller. If possible, something easy to setup as I never bothered with midi setup before in my life.
