Those frets seriously trigger my OCD!
I couldn't play those even if I wanted to

To the lads who don't need an editor: that's fine. You're happy! Why continue rambling against others on this thread?
Please note that there are other people that want or need one for varying reasons (visually impaired for example, like me) - the tiny display is making it very difficult for me to read.
An editor on my big LCD would be godsend. I could have a much faster workflow, instead of trying to make out everything and frequently going from memory (which also is not the best anymore). So kindly respect us when we raise our wish. It IS a feature request after all

Mogami cables and Neutrik jacks exclusively.
Nothing better IMO! -
I will keep putting this here...
vintage DOD-250 "grey" specs.
vintage DOD-250 "grey" specs.
vintage DOD-250 "grey" specs.
vintage DOD-250 "grey" specs.
I second that.
Keep my original old vintage grey DOD 250 around just for that overdrive sound. Nothing currently in the toaster can replace it. -
Yes, it's psychological, laddie! I have seen some of my profiles magically transform from glorious into bad and then back to beautiful without me editing them, same guitar and all...
It's the old guitarist's curse. Usually your playing reflects your mood as well.
Welcome btw! -
And here I thought I was going completely blind!

I don't see avatars anymore. What happened lads?

An editor would be a Godsend and allow me to edit parameters more efficiently. I'm not crazy about scrolling through pages or having to lean out of my chair just to adjust a single setting, much less several settings. Having access to everything using a keyboard and mouse would be so much more convenient, in my opinion. For those who don't care about an editor, you don't have to install it. It would definitely be a huge help for people, like me, who do a lot of recording at their PC, though.
Now, imagine all of this and being much older than 60...

the lad probably meant less "sterile" or "warm".
It does not really matter - the reverb wants the same treatment as the delays! -
I think that the reverbs should be improved and be more natural and analog.
Reverbs definitely need improvement.
The Kemper lads showed they're up to the game with the delay improvement. Now hoping they come to their senses and update the reverb as well... -
I couldn't agree more... My old eyes are having a tough time with such a little screen
Glad to read I'm not the only old lad around...

I avoid the main noise gate completely. It kills so much of the tone even when set to minimal values of over 1... completely unusable gate IMO.
I find the stomp 4:1 gate works well for heavily distorted sounds with the treshhold set to anything from 1 to 3. Everything above 4 again kills sound...

Thank you so much laddie! This is awesome! I will tryNadIR as well

Second hand tc nova. Effects are great, pre amp and cab sim playable
Thank you, will look into this one!

Thanks lads!

For my backup rig, I'm using a completely analog solution and need a couple of FX to go with that.
Originally, I was looking at the Eventide H9 box, but it appears that this can only run 1 effect at a time - and certain songs require multiple FX like a chorus + reverb, a delay + phaser etc.
What's a good little box with good quality that's not too hard on the wallet?
I'm trying to keep all FX in one box to avoid a tap-dance-performance - my old brain and old bones would not be too keen on that! -
Once you go stainless steel, you'll never go back. The sound difference is negligible IMHO. I have refretted all of my guitars with them, except the really vintage instruments which I keep stock for value.
They look great, wear great and are super smooth! Personally, I don't see any disadvantage (other than them being harder on your luthier tools)Even the most accomplished builders like John Suhr love SS frets. I had a long talk with him once about them... the lad loves them!

A nice editor would solve this problem:
I can never get it quite right
That triggers my OCD, laddie!
-
Ah somehow missed this one completely. Thank you lads!

I have gotten to know and appreciate my toaster close to a 100% now after several months of heavy use and profilling.
The lads did an amazing job with this thing. Now I wanted to buy the remote but it does not come with a pedal for wah, pitch shifting, effects etc.
So, is there an officially approved pedal?
