Anybody can play. The note is only 20 percent. The attitude of the motherfucker who plays it is 80 percent.

Did some quick recording with these today. Great variety - thanks again man.
-
I find this too. Will try to record some videos showing the problem. Could be a bug too.
-
Awesome. Thanks!

I have bought a few that I would not have bought if I have tried them in detail, but it doesn't bother me at all. I appreciate the effort our Profilers put into adding value to our Kempers, and if I support them now, then the next pack might be just what I need. It's only a few bucks after all.

I actually don't think that is possible, but would like to be pleasantly surprised. Currently there is no way to sync anything to the Kemper looper. As a feature request it would be nice to set the looper to (let's say) 16 bars at tempo 120 with a click and be able to record over that. However I don't think real time precision is Kempers forté (I guess the DSPs get priority) since just synching the tap tempo blink to the actual tempo is not possible.

Dunno - I buy from the people I trust. And that's pretty much all of them (if not all). This seems a bit overkill to me. At least I would like to see one single example in this thread where there could be any doubt. And that is yet to be seen. My take from this thread is that buying a good profile will not make you sound good on it's own. I think we could all benefit from acknowledging that.

Yesyes - I was only arguing (should stop I know) that if you want to match the amount of gain on a profile demo to your specific guitar then distortion sense is often better than rolling down your guitar volume. Over'n out.
-
asnwers are:
1) yes, similar guitar, meaning standard (not pumped) humbuckers, similar string gauge, even same type of guitar body, meaning not a Gibson vs a Strat, but sometimes charvel vs charvel
2) yes, most of the time I play the same thing listened
3) no because it is not necessary since the picups are, as mentioned, standard one
never tried modification of dist sens thought since I thought it was ok at present setting, which is 0
Hi Michael, any particular demo you are referring to here? Could be interesting to try it.
-
I would argue the volume pot changes the tone more though. Ymmv.
-
If you are getting too much gain with a similar guitar, have you tried turning the guitar volume down?
Or perhaps slightly better: Turning down distortion sense until it matches.
-
I'm on my phone but this sounded pretty good. Was this the eq'ed version at the end?
-
Here it is. Same Michael Britt 9 - 3 profile:
https://drive.google.com/file/…1Aoxdp67/view?usp=sharing
Ruben, me, Ruben, me
Again: No effects locked in Kemper, opened the profile directly from RM, recorded into Apollo Twin analog ins, no effects in Cubase (insert or master).
Same conclusion as the last one for me: Obviously same profile but my 59' Tele sounds a bit different - not woolly at all though. I do prefer old strings - so that is part of it.
Conclusion #2: Frank this is a good a reason as ever to add a T-Style to your arsenal. You obviously dig the sound!
Just reposting for late-comers. Despite various mistakes on the video you can get the same type of sound, if you mimic the attitude and the guitar.
-
anyway, it's quite weird and it would be good to know the reason - many people would benefit from that
Indeed. What we have discovered so far (feel free to read back) is that if you play with the same attitude with a Tele you get a highly comparable sound to the original.
-
Take it easy. I just commented, what I heard. No harm intended.
I will :). We spend some time getting into details in this thread. I'm gonna send Frank the "correct" file so we can stay on track.
-
Hi Frank, your LukeII sample compared to this original Ruben's one sounds like garbage why is that?
Please stop this nonsense. Franks recording of Ruben doesn't sound right due to some technical error. The comparison is invalid.
-
My setup:
Kemper ( nearly new condition), no input sense, no distortion sence, output eq flat. No tricks.
Goes directly into Steinberg UR242 interface
2 rokit rp6 g3 monitors
8 diffrent guitars. Jems, gibson les pauls, stratocaster, musicman luke2, peavy van Halen Wolfgang
That’s all.
Same result when I go directly to the monitors without interface. No difference in the sound when doing that.
Just to reiterate. No one is questioning your kemper recordings. It's your re-recording of Ruben that's off.

ok, Julai, what about this test I made: took a seller BE100 profile, did a recording with my daw (sonar8) through a FireWire audioboard. Sent the take to the seller which had to recognize the huge difference. The sound he was selling was not the one I recorded.
So, no controversial playback things here. And so, even if we have playback things going on, as you mentioned, we are back at the beginning with an unsolved issue. There must be a reason for this so that we can work it out
Could you link to the demo please? I'm sure Mattfig wouldn't mind sharing that specific profile so we can try (knowing him being very generous).
Edit: I actually own the v1 pack so for me a link to the demo would be interesting!
