  • Servus Frank, eine Frage zu deinem moog-ep3 Pedal. Du schreibst ja, dass du dieses zum morphen nutzt. Wo siehst du den Nutzen im Vergleich zu den einzelnen Tastern auf der Remote?


    mich habe zum volume/wah auch wie du das EP1. Zusätzlich ein kleines Boss FV-H030.
    Jetzt wäre der Plan, auf dieses Pedal die Pitchfunktion zu legen. Und das amorphen über die Taster zu steuern.


    Damit hätte ich alle Pedalfunktionen innerhalb einer Performance unabhängig von einander funktional, ne?


    Aber wie gesagt, kenne ich den Unterschied beim morphen zw. einem Pedal und den Tastern nicht - falls es den geben würde))

    Wo find ich den link zu dropbox. Hab jetzt den Kemper seit einer Woche ich suche ein paar gute lead sounds.

    Ich wollt mir eigentlich ein paar Profiles bei Deadlight studios ordern aber irgentwie geht das nicht, im Kemper sind ja ein paar Profiles von Deadlight drin glaub ich sind das die selben die man kaufen kann.


    Oder weist du wo man welch die auch gut sind kaufen kann.


    Hab z..b eine von John Petrucci der ist schon ziemlich gut

  • Hello, I tried some of your pre sets -great stuff!! A few questions
    1) What amp is it for the EVH tones? How much gate do you run? I had to run some gate as a block and on the front
    2)Also in the graphic eq are you trying to scoop it or? I usually use the studio eq but it was good for me to see how others use the graphic eq Seems like a lot of gain for an EVH tone but it's pretty cool! When I backed the gain off it did not sound good.


    I still need to try your Eric Johnson and Petrucci profiles. Thanks for sharing!!!! There are so many bad ones out there, it's awesome to come across something I could actually use live!!

    • Hi, I am sorry . I can't find the mail which I used to send the profiles to you. What was your mail address and when did I sent the rigs to you? I must have a look which rigs it was, because I have too many different ones(-: About gate:Normally I didn't use the global Gate. I put the 2:1 Noisegate in slot A, setted to 3,1, but it depends on the rig. Most of my rigs have the 3,1 setting. About eq: I find the studio eq is not so comfortable than the grafic eq. When I use the grafic eq, I put it normaly in slot X and I use it for a midscoope at 640 Hz and for a lowcut and high cut. Send me your e mail address again.

      I got the EVH profile from your Zip included in your signature but the EJ and Petrucci would not load in RM -it said it was neither a performance or a Rig??
      With the mid scoop how well does it cut in a band mix? It does sound big!

    • Ah, I see. That clears it up. When you use some of the things from my dropbox there are different kind of files. The petrucci and many others are presetfiles. This presets have to be loaded with the kpa usb stick directly into your kpa. These are only the fx presets.


      So the profile which I use for the rigs into my dropbox is a silver jubilee marshal from paults, a colleague from the forum. Cool amp.

    • Thanks you! Wow I have never heard a good Silver Jubilee (In Fractal land -very thin and shrill) but yours is big and fat!. I think Queensryche guitarist uses one (in his KPA) So that EVH Eddie titled profile is a Jub?? A lot of gain on it, but it seems to do the trick,...never been so inspired to play Eruption!


      Frank very rarely will I be 'wowed' by new profiles, but man you have some great stuff!!. I've bought numerous packs and so far only using a variation of the Chopetones Fried Jerry Friedman JJ profiles, however, my mains ones just got the boot for your Stevens 5150 and the Crunch helios too was amazing! I need to try them in a band mix for the final decision. Seems like a profile can sound big and full on it's own then not cut so well in a mix. My room is very dead so I added some mids but that will change in a more lively room I'm sure.


      So what's the scoop with the KPA stick? One flash drive I put in says it needs to be formatted and everything would be lost. Then another one I tried nothing happened. Are the rigs in the flash drive supposed to show up on the KPA browse screen?

  • Hi. Hätte nochmal 'ne Frage zum Mission EP1-KP. Kriege das mit dem "Switch" einfach nicht hin! Habe Videos geschaut, Handbuch durchforstet und echt mit verschiedenen Kabel & Anschlüssen diverse Belegungsmöglichkeiten durchgetestet - es funzt einfach nicht.
    Wenn Du also Lust auf Hilfestellung hast - schreib' mir bitte mal auf [email protected]
    Vielleicht habe ich ja irgendwo im KPA auch was grundsätzliches falsch eingestellt.

    • Na dann mal los. Ich gehe davon aus, dass du das mission ep1 gn gekauft hast und nicht das gn spl mit Rücksprungfeder.


      Nehmen wir als Buchsen der Remote die Buchsen 3 und 4.
      3 verbindest du mit einem Stereoklinkenkabel mit dem mission out 1.
      Das ist das Pedal.
      4 verbindest du mit dem mission out 2. Das ist der Schalter.
      Ich nehme an, du willt wah und volume damit steuern. Dann muss jetzt im Systemmenü allses eingestellt werden.
      Geh auf s Seite 5. yoben links Haken in Box WahPedal>Vol. setzen.
      Weiter zur Seite 8. Mode = Pedaltyp1. Function= WahPedal. Kalibriren.
      Weiter zur Seit 9.
      Mode=Mono switch, Switch Tip = Stomp B On/off. Kalibrieren.


      Das sind alle notwendigen Einstellung im Menü.


      Jetzt gehts zum eigentlichen Rig.


      Lege ein Wah in Stomp B und stelle im Wah Bypass@ stop ein. Der Softbutton unter dem B muss leuchten. Das heißt, das Wah ist an und wenn du jetzt abspeicherst und spielt ist dein mission pedal das Wah. Wenn du jetzt das Pedal nach vorne druchtritts, so das der Schalter des Pedals schaltet, geht der softknob in Stomp B aus, das Wah ist deaktiviert und das Pedal funktioniert als Volumenpedal. Wieder durchtreten und schalten macht das Pedal wieder zum Wah. Wenn du jetzt in deine rigs überall in Stomp B das Wah okatzierst, funktioniert das bei allen rigs so. Mehr gibt es da nicht zu beschreiben.

    • Hi - hömma: Das hast Du echt alles super beschrieben, vielen Dank dafür.
      Ich habe das jetzt insgesamt 4-mal komplett neu eingestellt - je 2x mit einem Monokabel an Out 2 / Pedal 4 und zweimal mit einem Stereokabel. Der Effekt ist aber (leider) immer der gleiche: Ich muß Zweimal den Schalter treten, damit "Wah aus / Vol-Pedal an" ist. Was mache ich falsch?
      Noch'n Zusatz: Falls das mal klappt bei mir - kann ich dann auch anstelle "Wah > Vol.-Ped." eine Schaltung "Wah bleibt an PLUS Boost" erstellen? Nur mal so ...

  • Hi, I followed your instruction with the Wah and saved it in my lead slot but it stayed in the 1/2 cocked wah tone when I took my foot off it. am I missing something or did I misunderstand what it would do?

      Sambrox is right. But i think it's difficult to get the sound with a Les Paul. I play Ibanez Jems, a music man Petrucci and Les Pauls. Best choice for a Satch sound is my old Ibanez jem fp 77 from 1991. This beauty has the ibanez pafs. It also sounds good with evolution pick ups from Ibanez (i am a fan of Steve Vais sounds).
      I have just uploaded a rig for you on the RE. Its called "Blue Dream". ;) It,s made by a free profile of Joes JVM410HJS.
      I have heard it live last year in Münster/Germany. There he played the Marshall amps.
      Maybe you have to tweak the eq because i fitted it to sound good with my frfr.

  • Hi, do you by accident happen to have good advice for SRV sounds? I have an alder, rw fretboard strat with 63 pickups, 10-46 strings and Kemper with loads of profiles. GOOD Vibroverb, super reverb, twin and, steel string singer profiles. I've toned to eb and been playing since 1987. I don'thave stevies fingers but I still should be in the ballpark. So, do you know some good settings for reverb, tone control, equalisation, cab choises, bias, tube shape etc.? I'm using km120 Neumann monitors at home.

  • Moin Frank!!Ne Frage.Du schriebst,Du nutzt auch Profiles von Sinmix,ich vermute mal die Mesa Boogie-Sachen?Wie ist Deiner Meinung nach die Qualität?Viel tweaken im Spiel,oder gleich spielen?Übrigens habe ich mich für den flexsys 12 von db entschieden.Der RCF war mir im Preisvergleich gegenüber dem Klang einfach zu teuer.Grüße Ben

    • Hi, die sinmix profile sind für mich ebenfalls sehr gut, hatte erstmal ein paar free profiles ausprobiert, dann hatte ich mir die DI profile gekauft, weil ich auch noch eine Mesa Boogie 2 mal 12 V30 Box habe und diese auch ab und an mit einer t.amp E 800 Endstufe und dem Kemper fahre. Monitor out, cab sim off, power auf die boogie Box und die Post geht ab. Die Profile haben mich überzeugt und dann hab ich mit sinmix gehandelt. Habe sein Producer bundel pack von 80€ auf 50€ runtergehandelt und noch das neue slo 100 pack obendrauf bekommen , sehr fair. Da sind ein paar Kracheramps dabei. Für die Kohle hast du von Mrshall über Peavy bis Boogie Mark V alles dabei und seine cabs sind auch nicht schlecht. Die DI Profile die ich vorher mal gekauft hatte sind auch im Bundle mit dabei. Mir gefällt natürlich nicht alles, aber da ist sehr viel nützliches dabei. Der Typ ist ein Heavy Fan und das merkt man auch an seiner Ampauswahl. Die cabs von ihm , besonders die Rectifier benutze ich auch oft bei Guidos Profilen, die Combi ist noch besser als Guidos cabs, die ich eh nicht so dolle finde. Für 50€ also eine , denke ich, gute Empfehlung. Auf soundcloud habe ich unter eltzejupp einige Soundbeispiele wo ich die cabs von sinmix benutzt habe, die sind wirklich gut kombinierbar mit allen möglichen profiles. Noch ein Tipp am Rande, die free 5150 profiles von Jevo und die Profiles von thumas und djemas mit ihren boogie amps sind für lau ebenfalls Oberkracher. Ich hab den fuffy für sinmix nicht bereut.     • Ah, schon lange. Sind der Brüller, die 5150 Profile sind ebenfalls toll. Sinmix schon ausprobiert? Hab gestern schwer im sinmix producer pack gerührt. Da sind so viele gute amps drin, dass es schwer fältt welche als Favoriten zu speichern. Da ist ein Savage amp dabei, der ist einfach nur gut und einer meiner neuen Favoriten ist der Krank Amp. Punch ohne Ende.

    • Hab ich mir fast gedacht,Frank:)sinmix liegt bei mir an.Du stehst auf Heavysounds,ich auch,aber ich mag die gescoopten Sachen nicht.Meine Baustelle liegt eher beim Ton von Eddy oder auch Gary Moore,also mit fetteren Mittten.Ich habe jetzt mal mit Cabs herumgespielt.Die von Till Schleicher finde ich klasse,weil er meine Favoritenlautsprecher nutzt,die ich selber viele Jahre gespielt habe.Celestion G12H30.Klingt beeindruckend original.Mit V30 Cabs kann ich leider nichts anfangen,dort nerven die Highmids(so um 2-2,5 Khz).Live laut mit denen ist man schnell am Tinnitus:)Welche Cabs nutzt Du live?
