  • cool!

  • Hi Adam, like to remind you ..........

    • Aww yes frank. Sorry about that. I no longer have the actual rig i used for that recording. I will try to recreate it for you though. I will let you know. Thanks and sorry about the time.

  • Nice to meet you you Adam. Txs for your answer. Petrucci is one a my fav player. My main guitar is the JP6 BFR with a beautiful flame top and a piezzo too. Love this sound. It would be great if you find the tweaked rigs and you can send it to me via email. My adress is [email protected] i use some djemass profiles too, but i am not so good in tweaking fx, so it would be very fine for me if you can send the two rigs. If you have time, you can also my soundcloud examples of profiles and some cover from Vai and Satriani. Search for eltzejupp on soundcloud. Feedback welcome, i am a hobbyist. Have a good time and take care cheers Frank

    • Frank,I am grabbing my laptop back from the shop tonight on my way home from work, so hopefully I can send you those files this evening. That guitar sounds beautiful! I am using the Polar Noir Majesty right now, but I hope to get a BFR in the near future :)

    • Hey that would be cool!

  • Frank, thanks a bunch! I had a lot of fun throwing that together. Its one of my favorite solo's of the newer Dream Theater Stuff. I actually grabbed the solo tone straight from Djemass's john petrucci tones. I don't think i made any real changes other than a gain tweak (i hate having so much gain on a lead tone) and well as maybe the delays. I can check when I get home this evening if i still have a copy of the profile i used. As far as the acoustic tone, I mixed two profiles by recording one with my blend pickup on my majesty between the middle position and piezo pickup, which was also a djemass profile (i believe it was his voices clean tone). The other was my piezo on my majesty using Acoustic E profile that is available on the rig exchange. As i said, I will check when I get as to whether I saved these or not ( i have a tendency of changing profiles on the fly when recording and then never saving them lol). Yes, you are correct. My name is adam and I am from Pennsylvania in the good old USA :) Nice to meet you, Frank!

  • Hi UpEndAdam or Adam (right?), i have looked into your soundcloud site and there is an awesome version of count of tuscany. Congrats to your sound and playing, im really impressed. Both sounds are high end and this is exactely what i am searching for to feed my petrucci jp6 bfr. Could you be so kind and tell me which profiles do you use for it or share the tweaked rigs to me? If this profiles are payed profiles, it doesen't matter, i have enough boogies and so on, but therefore again, could you be so kind and give me an idea how you how you have tweaked the fx for it (parameters ans so on)? BTW, where do you come from and whats your real name (is it Adam)? cheers Frank
