Yes. For example, my Anderson guitar was designed with Buzz Feiten tuning built in, so the open strings are tuned slightly different to standard. My Korg tuner has BF tuning built in as an option.

We can get together for a Canadian Kemper Kontingent. We'll play in the road with our Kempers and when a car comes we'll yell "car" and pull them off the road.
-
Thanks mate - I'm a Canadian ex-pat. Stay safe, eh. ?
-
Totally understand. If it was even remotely close I'd suggest another option, but the Kone was designed to go with the software and I think is priced fairly.
They're still shipping via their NZ online store. *waiting patiently in lock down*

The Kone is the best option by far IMO.

I disagree that MDF was chosen primarily due to cost. MDF is better for this application than the solid wood or plywood.

I'm really hoping that mine doesn't get caught up in the quarantine forever. Can't wait to get that real Fender amp in the room sound. ?
-
You didn't mention the affordability, so it sounded like you think Chinese manufacturing is somehow inferior.
I think you're going to have warranty and return issues if you buy a set and then sell off the parts.
-
If a resonant cab is designed to accentuate the right frequencies then you can get a great result if done right (eg: Buzz Feiten did one), but with different amps you get what you get.
Using MDF for the Kone is the best option by a mile. The results speak for themselves.

Calling it "Chinese guitar gear" is a misleading way to describe them.
We regularly have products invented and developed in our R&D team manufactured in other countries, including China. Calling them "Chinese products" is a poor and revealing way to describe them.

... and now I wait. ??

That's a good idea to use morphing to adjust the panorama! I've got a performance with clean/ bass / lead slots all panned a bit for separation but have to tap dance to use that.
-
Anyway - really look forward to the new speakers and ability to save imprints per profile because we asked and they appreciate their customers. ??????

I've made a career from improving customer facing processes and systems. I don't think you've been victimised quite as badly as you're suggesting. Different cultures have differing requirements for fake gushing all over their customers.
I think you should check your email quarantine.

You want them to say thank you? I just assume that companies are grateful when I order stuff.
I think this might not be the last delayed delivery you receive given the global context.
-
This is so cool! I never should have doubted. ?
-
Some pickups are just really hot. Does it do this with more than one guitar? Might be worthwhile to inspect and optimise the pickup height. Most of the guitars I meet have the pickups cranked way up, but the sweet spot is usually a bit lower.
-
You might be able to use Parallel Path and put a drastic high-cut filter EQ and Octave effect in there to blend with the main signal.

Does anyone know where I should be buying a Kone from in Australia? (Can swap for 2 bottles of hand sanitiser )
Not yet, I think.
