If you want an FRFR, the RedSound LG12 is hard to beat.
Otherwise, a Palmer Macht 402 is a great deal for a 1u stereo Power Amp.
Both are more than adequate for volume ....

Interesting I had one back in the early 70's that a girlfriend brought back from the US, along with a Maestro phaser, and to be honest, I preferred the Maestro's medium phase for the 'swirl'.
Still, I wish I had them both today ......
Never found anything on the Kemper that sounds as good as the ElectroHarmonix Ravish pedal.
I own a DG100. Very heavy amp but it does sound great. How did you list your profiles on rig exchange Janne ?
Just use the search function for DG80. There are seven profiles.
Agree , the 80 combo had a good sound to it. Why oh why did they make the cab out of MDF though - the weight !
Display MoreHi Robman,
thanks for your answer!
Unfortunately neither changing the pedal type nor changing the input did anything.
I couldn´t find another trs cable in my pile of unused cables, so I couldn´t check that.
So, could still be the cable...
That reminds me a couple of months ago I bought a 6 pack of trs cables from a well known auction site - cheap, I might add - and found only 3 of them worked 'properly' ...... They all had molded ends and were from the Far East so may well be worth checking .....
Not commenting on the speaker, but I had one of those Montage 1 x 12" cabs and have to say they are not very good for road use.
Tolex easily scratches and the whole assembly just felt cheap but not so cheerful ...
Nowhere near Mesa baltic birch quality.
If you get the chance to try out a Strymon Deco, do so. Here's a video I did comparing the Mimiq to the Deco.
Would have been good to hear a 'clean' guitar signal as well ..... to make more of an evaluation .....
Ah, yes. So your Rack versions are the same weight as mine - 16.9kgs.
I bet that covering will wear better. Looks like the same texture as the old Peavey combos
The leatherette/vinyl finish, while nice on the eye, is starting to show a few bumps and scrapes (despite having the cover).
I see these new cabs are almost 4kgs lighter than the regular active. I should have waited !
Yes, the RedSound stuff is quality indeed. I use the powered version (250w rms) and have no complaints .....
Not as mid-heavy or fat as my trusty Boogie EVM12L but I was looking for a more neutral sound anyway. More HiFi-like to my ears.
It's a Jupiter 8, if I'm not mistaken. Even Mr May himself doesn't really cut it tone or style-wise here:
Actually going back to the 80's when Fairlight, N.E.D and Emu Samplers used to rule the world, along came Akai and they released one of their Sampler models in 'playback' form only ..... (S1000) It sold very well, too .......
...... and then moves to Manchester, where, with luck, we might have it for a week before the heavens open again ;
The amperage rating (0.5 amp) refers to the amount of electrical current the Kemper would draw (at maximum)
I'd say better to use a 5 amp rather than a 13 amp - it'd blow quicker, thus offering more protection should the worst happen.
On my UK rack it says 0.5 amp maximum, so you'll be fine to use the 5 amp plug. No need to worry about the voltage.
I like the EV in the Boogie halfback cab. Now, I also have a RedSound which has a dual concentric speaker.
On comparing the two, the EV shines (powered by a Palmer Macht 402) with it's fat, great upper mid presence,
while the Redsound is more 'HiFi' but still eminently playable, too !
Hmm, I'd forgotten all about this thread but I never got to see the Fulltone files that I sent back then ....
Does that release also fix the disabled morphing?
Think I've just found a preset that has it's morphing rise and fall time parameters greyed out .....
