  • Multiple issues with 7.1.2 and Rig Manager

    Me to ...

    if you drag drop performances in RM - KPA is not in sync and if you then delete a performance on RM it will crash the KPA.

    If you copy and past a performance slots from Performance PA Slot1 to PB S1 , it is not stored in the new performance, so if you go back PA to copy a other slot, performance PB is empty if you go back. So you have to save the performance PB every time.
    Any way I sent this to support.

    (U = Voltage (Volt), I = Current (Amper), R=Resistor (Ohm),P = Power (Watt)

    1. U = I*R
    2. I= U/R
    3. P= U*I => P = (I*R)*I => I2*R. (For solid-state amp, current intensity goes by square damaging the power transistors)
    4. P= U*I => P = U * (U/R) => U2/R ( For Tube amps, voltage goes by square so audio transformer get's damaged)

    For 600W at 8Ohm you have 8.6 Amper and 69 Volt.
    So don't use a Guitar Cable to connect your Cabinet :)

    Ich bin selbst als Software-Entwickler tätig,

    Was ich bei Kemper nicht verstehen ...
    1. Es gibt anscheinen known Bugs die in der Release Note nicht gelistet sind ? richtig?

    2. Manchmal werden Betaversionen auf der Release Seite gelistet, manchmal unter Beta.
    3. Es gibt Beta Versionen die man dem Kunden empfiehlt weil die offizielle Release zu Buggy ist ?

    In der Firma in der ich arbeite werden Beta's prinzipiell durch den 1st Level Support nicht unterstützt.
    Mein Chef würde mich einen Kopf kürzer machen, wenn ich einem Kunden eine Betaversion für den produktiven Einsatz empfehle.

  • Stack-Einstellungen performanceübergreifend ändern?

    Ich handhabe es so, dass der FOH ein relative neutralen FLAT Sound bekommt.
    Jeder halbwegs vernünftige Mischer hat einen EQ den der Soundtechniker an den Raum anpassen sollte.
    Bei den meisten Sounds gebe ich auch kein Reverb mit (sofern es sich um Raumhall handelt),
    auch das überlasse ich dem FOH.
    Nur wenn es sich um Hall und Echo als Effekt handelt wird dieser mit ausgegeben.
    Bei mir ist die POST AMP Section (Effects) immer gelockt.
    So kann ich Hall / Echo dann zuschalten wenn benötigt und "Global" einstellen.

  • Rigmanager User Tags

    Feature request:


    Searchable User Tags would be nice. So you can Tag each Rig or Preset with multiple Tags,

    right now I'm using the comment field like: &TAG1;&TAG2 ( &MERGED;&MESACAB;) but this is not the right way.


    by the way why are no special characters are allowed in RigManager ",@§öäüß%" and some others ?.

  • Rigmanager searching and filtering Subfolders

    Feature request:


    Filtering on top level (All Rigs / All Preset / All Performances) shows all Items in that all subfolders with located in.

    But if you filter e.g. on Local Library you don't see any rigs in subfolders.

    This is not consequent. And it prevents me organising my Rigs in subfolders.

    Danke für die netten hinweise,

    Ich werde beim nächsten mal darauf achten.
    Jedenfalls habe ich auf meinem Rechner keine kaos.bin im download gefunden.
    Wurde wohl automatisch gelöscht, ich habe auf meinem MAC so ein Aufräumtool

    was alte Dateien nach 30 Tagen automatisch löscht.


    Dann werde ich halt erstmal nicht auf die Version 7 wechseln.


    Viele PA Verleiher haben noch die Version 6 drauf.
    Hat schonmal jemand probiert ein Version 7 Backup in ein Kemper mit Version 6 einzuspielen?

    Hallo Forum

    Bevor ich auf die 7.0.9 gehe

    hat jemand noch eine KAOS.bin 6.0.0 14574 die er mir zuschicken könnte.


    Leider muss ich sagen das ich der Version 7.0.0 wenig traue.

    Zu viele Fehler von denen mann liest.

    Daher werde ich nur Updaten wenn es einen Fallback zum alten OS gibt.

    Version 7 für den produktiven Einsatz anscheinend noch nicht Stabil genug.


    Leider habe ich von der 6.0.0 keine Kopie, da ich das Update mit dem Rigmanager durchgeführt habe.

    (werde ich aus diesem Grund nie wieder tun)


    Kemper bietet die 6.0.0 auch nicht mehr zum Downloaden an, :(

    Dies Art wie Kemper sein Marketing und Support gestaltet erinnert mich immer mehr an Apple. (leider)


    Wenn also jemand noch eine KAOS.BIN 6.0.0 14574 hat, bitte PM an mich.

  • Kemper "freezing" and remote turns off

    Dear Kemper support ...
    Gues It's the micro controller hanging on the USB driver next , the TCP stack buffer gets overflow and the Remote connection drops. Microcontroller hangs but DSP is working.
    Maybe a watchdog timer can help to find out ?

  • level matching profiles tips needed!

    We always record the rehearsal sessions, and i added a midi track to record the KPA actions. We also using a DB metering app to figure out the loudness while playing. We are using IEM also. I figured out since we use InEar we no longer have a battle between Guitar / Bass and Drums.
