  • Hi Formar, I don't have the HD500 anymore so I'm not using it that way.


    That thread was doing it the other way round to your email request,with the Kemper being in the HD500 loop, where you could run some HD500 effects pre the kemper and some after. That would give you the maximum flexibility. Do you really want to put the HD500 in the Kemper loop as I don't think that would work


    Just thinking more about it, it won't work the way you said in your email as you would need more that one fx loop in the HD500.


    The way I did manage to get it to work was this.


    The Kemper was in the HD500 fx loop (I only used the analogue connections but it should work with spdif).


    Variax VDI to HD500. Patch contained all the variax model and tuning info. Set up any pre fx's, comp, drives etc. Then have your fx loop block. FX send to Kemper input. Kemper output to HD500 FX Return. Add the other HD500 fx's and save your patch. If you connect a midi cable from the HD500 out to the Kemper In, and set the programme change in the Kemper (you can only use browse mode for this) to match the HD500 patch, then when you change patches in the HD500 the Kemper will also change patches and profiles.

  • Good morning and sorry for the confidence to write directly and not in the forum.


    I have been following the thread of "Tip for users of the Line 6 Variax with a Kemper" and I am not able to understand the configuration.


    I have a JTV-89F, POD HD 500X, Kemper Profiler, Profiler Remote and Mission GP1-kp Pedal and I think my intent is the same you have, ... feed the VARIAX with VDI, control changes variax models and tunings, and to use the effects of HD500X POD (no amps or cabs) in the FX loop effects of Kemper Profiler.


    Could explain me if at the end you've managed to do it and how?


    I have the KEMPER, the Remote and pedal for a month, and still I am not familiar with all its settings input and output, so a scheme with connections would be perfect. If possible using the SPDIF connections.
