  • I can send you a rig, or we can decide on a factory rig. But I can replicate my problem with any profile. Could you do me a favor? Could you choose just any normal clean sound. Then add the first distortion stomp (like I did, was it BM Brite or something...) and finally turn the gain up to noon. Just like I did in my test video. Then I could hear how the numbers 1., 2. and 3. SHOULD sound. Thanks very much, mate.

  • (continuing...) don't think it's the soundcard, cubase, cords, outputs etc. My guitar is Kramer American, with EMG 81 actives... it might be a little on the harsh side on it's own, but as I compared my guitar with others in a music shop it sounded fine, maybe even better than other guitars.

  • You can compare soundexamples on soundcloud. Search for eltzejupp and you will find many examples from me how the kpa sounds.

  • Hi Markus, are you from Germany? You are right, the sounds are horrible. What guitar do you use? Maybe i can help when you send me your tweaked rigs. I can load them in my kpa and see what happens. There is definetly something wrong. Do you hear the same sound when you use monitors on your main outs? What daw software do you use? Cheers Frank
